Re: This video format doesn't convert properly
In Handbrake I left all settings as the default when loaded (regular normal preset). The only thing I changed was Filters/De-interlace preset Bob. It automatically doubles the frame rate and is smooth like the original.

Re: This video format doesn't convert properly
have you tried with 2.0.0.9? Yes, that was the version I tested, v2.0.0.8 didn't even work properly and kept locking up. On Handbrake, when you convert a interlaced clip using the de-interlace filter 'Bob', it automatically doubles the frame rate because it keeps all the frames and doesn't delete a...

Re: This video format doesn't convert properly
I tried all the de-interlace options and it still doesn't look as smooth as the original. Is it not possible to convert to the same interlaced format ?
If it de-interlaced it correctly it should automatically be double the frame rate to keep all the frames and not delete any (50fps).

Re: This video format doesn't convert properly
I used the test clip I posted in this thread and tried every de-interlace option, when you click on Start it locks up. It even locks up if you leave it on VSO !!

Re: This video format doesn't convert properly
I can tell the difference on any part. The original plays smooth but when converted it looks like the converter has removed one of the interlace fields and doesn't look smooth. You can definitely tell at about 17 seconds when the guy moves side to side and the text bar comes up at the bottom.

I have tried MP4 x264 and a custom profile, both give the same result. It doesn't look as smooth as the original.

This video format doesn't convert properly
I uploaded 1 minutes worth as I have a very slow upload speed. The format was recorded with my little freeview TV box, it records to USB stick. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B749yVJTt5YMZUZESzFySTJYVkE/view Once converted it looks like it's missing half the frames, doesn't play as smooth as the o...

Re: [Request] Is it possible to improve the cut & trim editi
The rewind on the jog wheel still doesn't work properly. It seems it will only let you rewind what's in the buffer and then it keeps repeating the last few frames. MPEG-TS files like the specs I showed above still don't look right after conversion. Does your de-interlacer completely remove one of th...

Re: [Request] Is it possible to improve the cut & trim editi
These are the specs for the test file format I tried to convert that it seems to be having a bit of trouble with (poor de-interlacing):- General ID : 16515 (0x4083) Complete name : C:\Users\***\Desktop\ITV_HD-03022016-1119-1.mts Format : BDAV Format/Info : Blu-ray Video File size : 128 MiB Duration ...

Re: [Request] Is it possible to improve the cut & trim editi
Still very buggy. Tried editing a 1080p MTS file. After making a few cuts (still feels very awkward especially when you can't rewind properly with the jog wheel). I tried to play the file with the 'skip cutted? parts when playing' option and it kept repeating a seconds worth over and over again. Onc...

Re: [Request] Is it possible to improve the cut & trim editi
I've had a quick go and it's not too bad actually. One bug i've noticed, you cannot goto previous frames with the jog wheel, but if you advance for instance 5 frames, it will let you go back 5 previous frames then stop. So to sum up, it won't let you go back a frame unless you go forward first. I ha...

Re: [Request] Is it possible to improve the cut & trim editi
I havent had a proper test yet but why arent you using the same cut & trim method from ConvertXtoDVD ? It's far superior to this one.Claire wrote:Hello,

Re: Interlace issue ?
I feel the same way too. Handbrake also has a 64-bit version which converts files a lot faster than 32-bit . ConvertX still doesn't have this.patient007 wrote: I don't like to use Handbrake over something i have paid for !

Re: First ConvertXtoVideo 2 alpha version
This looks exactly the same as ConvertXtoVideo 1 ? Is it possible to at least add the (far superior) Clip Editor from ConvertXtoDVD please ? The one in CXV is an absolute pain to use and very primitive.

Re: MediaInfo reports different settings were used
I will investigate more why Handbrake is faster than ConvertXtoVideo. Can you try by disabling all audio tracks in both programs (convert video only)? Or maybe you can try the conversion using this test file: http://oasis.vso-software.fr/Cedric/CUDA_TESTS/h264_1080p_hp_4.1_40mbps_birds.mkv There's ...

Re: MediaInfo reports different settings were used
I don't know how to convert Video Only in CXV Custom Profile. The Birds Clip (you posted) 110mb CXV 42 seconds @ 12fps (Overall Bitrate 6,191 Kbps) - Final Size 16.7mb ?? Handbrake 28 seconds @ 19fps (Avg) (overall Bitrate 37.4 Mbps) - Final Size 103mb --------------------------------------------- ...
