I have a similar issue, but with NVENC.
With H/W optimizations disabled, the encoders run till completion without an issue.

Re: Advice on making the best conversion with what I have?
With your hardware, If you intend to use NVENC - based acceleration: 1. Enable hardware optimization under the Settings > Output > Hardware Optimizations menu. Flip on the global option 'Enable/Disable all H.264 optimizations, then select the Maximum H/W decoder instances in the same time to 2. 2. O...

Feature suggestion: Add extra hardware decoding devices
Suggestion: Add extra hardware decoding devices support (under the Hardware Optimizations page, Hardware Decoding Tab drop-down menu, with selectable devices per hardware acceleration setting basis. Reason: On Multi-GPU systems, such as laptops with switchable graphics, you'll want to associate each...

Re: Simultaneous processing
According to my GPU specs it has 4 GPC's (Graphic Processing Clusters) and 8 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMX), and 4 memory controllers. Yet CXV only picks 2 by default. Why does it do that and can i increase it to 4 or 8 to maximize performance ? Hello there, Allow me to correct the answer provided...

How to disable a certain hardware encoder in ConvertXtoVideo
Hello guys, If you need to disable a specific hardware encoder in ConvertXtoVideo for any reason, such as: 1. Low video quality (Common in Intel QuickSync on Intel Sandybridge parts and Nvidia CUDA) 2. Platform instability (Common with Khronos OpenCL implementation with Nvidia GPUs) 3. Unsatisfactor...

Re: Bug report: Can no longer use NVENC and Intel QuickSync
Solution (Marked as resolved). This is a known Nvidia driver issue on Windows 10. A driver hotfix has been released by Nvidia that fixes BSOD problems when applications such as Adobe Media Encoder and the likes are launched. See https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3832 for more infor...

Re: First ConvertXtoVideo 2 alpha version
Potential bug (In both the alpha and stable versions): When trans-coding Matroska files that contain three or more audio streams, only the first two streams are copied and any other audio track beyond the third is ignored. The expected behavior is that all audio tracks in the source file should be c...

Re: Question about NVidia cards and CUDA and NVEnc settings
With AMD, two use-cases can happen: 1. With older (VLIW-based) AMD GPUs such as the HD 5000 series and some APUs, they'd be detected as single OpenCL platforms on the latest VSO Video Converter alpha (Under Khronos' OpenCL platform). 2. If this software supports AMD VCE (on newer AMD GCN series GPUs...

Re: Question about NVidia cards and CUDA and NVEnc settings
I have a NVidia 970 graphics card, which according to it's spec has 1664 CUDA cores. Yet in the hardware Optimizations, the Maximum Max instances I can set is only 16. If I set any higher number, it just falls back to 16. The same is grue NVenc. Under conversion settings, there are "number of ...
