Re: Video will not convert
Tried the 'demo' version, it converted a few minutes, but still didn't work with convertxtodvd. So, I lost a little money, it happens. Thanks everybody. Stay Safe Just an update - I decided to try an old program - DVD Flick - And it worked. So I'm happy now. So I have to assume there must be somethi...

Appears that it is "NOT" protected, per the properties / details file. Have a look at the attached capture.

Re: Video will not convert
Actually, I already did this, that is, I downloaded a youtube video of this movie, Ike, and converted it without issue. However, I didn't like the 'quality' so that's when I decided to 'buy' a copy online. The 'quality' that I downloaded from this online "buy" was much better so I wanted t...

Video will not convert
Bought a movie online. Downloaded same. Went to convert to put it on a DVD and got a message saying it couldn't be done. Tried to convert file using Any Video Converter, same result, couldn't convert. The video file played just fine using my MPC-HC VIDEO Player. Log attached and image capture. Thank...

Re: Buying a new computer
Thanks - I get the 'ram', have bought more over time, so that's easy to understand. That said, the CPU, with AMD and Intel, I haven't seen anything that tells me that an i5 or i7 equals an AMD? And the thing about a graphics card, well I have no idea how to go about that issue. Maybe I should assume...

Buying a new computer
During this “sale” season, and thinking of ConvertXtoDVD, what would be the main things to focus on. What I mean is that, on average, it takes my current PC about 4 hours to convert a 10 GB mkv file. I think I saw someone say they can convert a file in 15 minutes. I’m going to assume that is a very ...

Re: Conversion canceled by user
Actually, some of these files have a "lot" of subtitles, but I always remove all except English. Some times there are "two" English and I keep both because sometimes the 'second' English file is for "foreign parts". In these video files, some episodes had only 'one' Eng...

Conversion canceled by user
I'm going to assume that the issue is with the video file that I was working with, although I have never had this issue before and I don't understand why. I ran this same file twice and got the message that the conversion was canceled by user. Since I did no such thing, I ran my usual "anti&quo...

Re: Different TV episodes Playback issues
Thanks for replying. I use the DVD+RW's because they can be reused and since this is just for TV shows, I don't keep them as I might a movie. Being used RW's for maybe 15 years or longer without issue. As they wear out I buy a new batch, some are Sony and some are Verbatim. This is a 'new' problem. ...

Re: Different TV episodes Playback issues
Just wondering if you have any suggestions for this issue. The attached log file is for a "single" TV series where this issue ocurred. This had 'not' happened for me before. Episodes 1 thru 5 recorded on one DVD+RW played back just fine. However, episodes 6 thru 10 have this issue. thanks ...

Re: Different TV episodes Playback issues
Actually it has happen a lot of times. I just kind of ignored it in the past. But I thought I would post this time. It is routine for me to accumlate several TV shows and then make one DVD-RW. The most likely reason for is that I wait to get an episode version that has subtitles. Thanks for replying.

Different TV episodes Playback issues
When I convert 4, 5 or 6 ‘different’ TV shows (episodes) in one process and burn them to a single DVD-RW, an issue arises. During playback, after the ‘third’ episode finishes, I usually press the ‘next’ key on my remote control, to skip the credits and jump to the start of the ‘next’ episode. Instea...

Re: Lifetime key no-longer works
This worked for me: If you click 'Help/Tools" and then select enter license key, and do so, that should work. Also, if you click help/tools and click on 'About" it will show if its licensed or trial.
That said, Maggie once had to take control of my PC to fix this issue.
Hope this works.

Re: Log shows critical info
Just a 'final' update on this issue, from me. 6 out of 7 times that this has occurred, going back to November 2019, the video files were made by someone - "FGT", whom ever that is. And when I got 'someone' else's video file the issue did not occur. That said, most of the 'movie' files that...

Is there a sound event for operation complete if
you are "not" burning to disc? If I am burning to disc, not only does the disc eject, so you hear and see that, but there is a sound event telling you the operation is complete. If not burning to disc, I hear nothing, so I have to keep checking, since the monitor goes into sleep mode. I do...

Just to be clear, I'm using convertxtodvd to convert video files to burn to a dvd or dvd+rw, not to view files on my PC.

Re: slow to boot / start / load
BootRacer, I had just uninstalled yesterday. Usually just use it when I do a major reinstall of system and then uninstall same. Same goes for Dell Assist as I use it to check the Dell site to see if there are any issues after, again a major reinstall of system. I uninstalled it today and the Dell Va...

Re: slow to boot / start / load
I realize I'm posting to an 'old' issue of mine, but it just seems to keep happening. When I click on the desktop 'icon' it currently takes 35 seconds to 'open'. I tried to run Ccleaner to see if maybe the 'cache' was full, so to empty same. No effect. I have noticed in the past, and it is still the...
