Feature Request: ATI OpenCL support
The encoding engine already has support for CUDA (Nvidia proprietary) but has no support for OpenCL yet (or am I mistaken?). I can't find it anywhere in the settings. the DXVA2 support relates to decoding only using a GPU. http://developer.amd.com/tools-and-sdks/heterogeneous-computing/amd-accelerat...

Re: Bug: main screen freeze
I think i'm close to putting my finger on why this is happening. When i keep an eye out on my RAM memory, I notice that my 'available' memory goes to 0 when the conversion is about 70% done. My "cache" memory however keeps growing and growing to the point it can't grow no more and therefor...

Re: Bug: main screen freeze
Happens with hardware decoding on or off. Just tested with off and same freeze, this time without error messages. Main screen freezes and only the border remains. The process is still running and will likely finish without error. I'm guessing there is a severe memory leak in the GUI that makes it ti...

Re: Batch Mode - Is there a way to add multiple files/folder
I'd like this as well.
Just allow the addition of multiple video files with their own encoding settings and treat them separate as they come down the line, one by one.
This would allow for creating multiple projects all in one window with different outputs.

Bug: Languages
As you can see in the picture below, the button placements are static and therefor overlap with the text.

Re: Bug: Subtitles
No problem, I'm just testing the software as of now and seeing what bugs pop up.
I enjoyed using ConvertXtoDVD for many years and I will enjoy Video Converter too so it seems but at the moment i'm just testing it

Re: Bug: main screen freeze
Just had another one. This time it actually showed an error. As you can see from the log, it actually did finish the encoding. The program process itself didn't freeze as it finished the encoding, but the main screen froze and threw an error. Not really a problem as it does finish the job but it's a...

Re: Bug: Subtitles
Thanks for the bug report. MP4 can have embedded subtitles (to answer your question in the bug report). Somehow something goes wrong while muxing them in with the encoded video. There is a subtitle stream, but as you said it's an unknown stream "à". I thought about posting my log, but it h...

Re: Feature request: HEVC support
Hello Cedric. I agree that it does take more computing power and thus a longer time in order to get the file encoded; subsequently storage space is also not a factor anymore these days as is bandwidth. It is a superior codec though and no doubt in my mind that this will eventually become the next st...

Bug: main screen freeze
About 70% into an encoding from MKV to MP4 (h.264) in a project of about 3.3GB (end result) the main screen freezes. Unable to click anything, or move the screen around, it just sits there showing whatever percentage it froze at but the VSO process itself still works and you can clearly see the CPU ...

Bug: Subtitles
Whenever I encode an MKV to an MP4 (h.264) and add custom subtitles (SRT), they are not encoded in the resulting file. They play fine in the preview and they do appear in the main screen to encode but the resulting file doesn't have them encoded. A quick glance at the resulting file with MediaInfo s...

Feature request: HEVC support
I would like to request HEVC support. It's basically the successor to h.264 with the HEVC codec being H.265. Promises half the size at the same quality. I have some files encoded with the h.265 codec and when i try to convert them to MP4 (H.264) VSO Video Converter doesn't recognize them. It gives a...
