Audio channels - why 2?
I replaced a DVD/BD player some time ago with a Panasonic DMP BD-84 which offers much more functionality than I need – I just want to play DVD and Blu-Ray discs and so far all has gone well until... As well as commercial discs I create my own on the PC using ConvertXto DVD and also ConvertXtoHD but ...

Old format to new
Please forgive me if I've asked before but I've lost my amnesia pills... Currently I am very happy compiling collections of music on to Bluray discs and I like the way the software does it. However, I have a number of DVDs recorded over the years where I have folders Video_RM and Video _TS and no us...

Good suggestion, I've avoided non-final versions but your mention of a memory leak is helpful. I'll try it today. Thanks.

Re: Stops for no apparent reason
A fair point but I have good reasons to remain on Win7, it's not just laziness.
However, the original problem of terminating early is unlikely to be caused by the OS because it has worked perfectly since I moved up from v2.

Re: Stops for no apparent reason
Hello Anais,
Many thanks, I'll do what I can to help but there seems to be a problem for me with your reporting tool. I have used it 4 or 5 times in the last few days but I always get this: It's still showing this 20 minutes after I submitted ...

Re: Stops for no apparent reason
Another update.
Version 2 ran perfectly again - still using the same project for testing.
Version 3 (latest and reinstalled) I reset the options to VSO defaults and then changed only the destination drive and folder. Failed again at about 18% as above. I can't see what to try next except use v2...

Re: Stops for no apparent reason
Some more information which I hope will help. By good fortune I still have version 2 installed on the PC so I ran this with the project mentioned above - and it ran perfectly, right through to burning the disc - great. Why? It seems to me that the project is OK and therefore there is either a releva...

Stops for no apparent reason
After using this happily for some time I've run into a problem. I have been creating Bluray discs of mp4 concerts (including the Lahti orchestra, JJ) and have been successful until now. I've used the same settings as before but now after anything 15 - 30% it just stops with the message: vso 11.21.JP...

Re: DVD format to BluRay
Thanks, JJ, I'll give that a try.
I'm not an expert by any means, so thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately when I came to test the BD file I found the sound was out of synch quite badly, can you point me in the right direction to correct this please?
David

Re: DVD format to BluRay
I need to change the question! As soon as I posted the one above I realised that I should try DVD Converter and, sure enough, there's an option to save as BD.I'll check my disc this evening but the files appear to be correct compared with my other BDs So, my revised question is: C an I add this to a...

DVD format to BluRay
Some years ago I recorded a concert from the TV to a DVD. A direct recording, no file saved to the PC.
I would like to incorporate the concert in a collection on BluRay disc using ConvertXtoHD; is this possible and how should I do it?
Thanks for any insight and help,
David

v1.3.0.24 problems
I've just installed the latest version under Win 7 and I'd offer two comments. 1. I may be wrong but I thought that in previous versions I could change the order of movies after loading then just by dragging in the left hand window. Certainly can't now and if it's never been the case then could this...

Thanks, CK, for that really clear and helpful comment. I'll continue to disregard the option and your findings are very close to mine. Thanks again.

Re: What does "Use best video quality" achieve?
Well I've done a trial by creating a BD disc with and without the "Best Video Quality"selected, all other options unchanged, and for the life of me I can't see any difference. I was hoping that Cedric might offer a few words of wisdom on this. Am I chasing the last half percent of quality ...

Re: What does "Use best video quality" achieve?
Hmm, So are we saying that if I have an HD input file there will be no real advantage to using the Best Quality setting? I'm trying to work out whether the overnight task is necessary, at the moment I can't see the wood for the trees. Thanks for your input.
