Re: ConvertXtoDVD - Latest beta - 7.0.0.73 released!
Hey VSO Team, It's been a while since I've been here... Hopefully everyone is doing well, especially during these trying times. I've been wondering though, will you guys be updating the codecs to the software anytime soon? They're from around 06/2016, while there are updates from 07/2020. All 3 AV c...

Hello,
Constant Quality does not work at all. I always get an error when running it. The other 2, target bitrate and constant quantizer, work though.

Re: CPU Temrature too High
Hello Fump, It's common for the CPU temperature to shoot up when dealing with video and photo editing. That's one of the CPU's core procedures. The most common reasons why temperature shoots up that rapidly when using CPU intensive programs are because: either your cooler isn't seated correctly, you...

Re: What does "Use best video quality" achieve?
Hello dragnil, You can compare the data between the 2 folders by using a program called MediaInfo (don't know if you're familiar with it). You'll basically compare the video files using that program and check the bitrate. The one with the "Use best video quality" selected should utilize mo...

Hello windale,
I think it's a good idea. It's very useful in determining which is faster for a person's system. It's ultimately up to VSO to implement it, and if they do decided to, it'll be low priority. Still, a good idea.

Re: What does "Use best video quality" achieve?
Hello dragnil, It basically says what it means: If you want the best video quality, "Use best video quality". It will duplicate a picture closest to the original vs not using that setting. The biggest disadvantage would be that it's time consuming since it reads dramatically slow and looks...

Re: What does "Use best video quality" achieve?
Hello dragnil,
Basically "Use best video quality" reads at a slower rate with extra parameters (settings, if you will) that help the encoder produce similar frames on output. I believe it uses the slowest (exhaustive) reading method for this.

Hello fuzzie874, I'm glad you found a work-around. So it was basically the burning I/O from ConvertXtoHD that was your issue? Or did you use another media? Some players are very picky on what media they read to help prevent piracy. Can you show the log of your conversion and burn? This will give us ...

Re: Audio Sync Problem
Hello omniart, Please don't assume it's the program. Sometimes it is the actual file that's corrupted or converted/recorded bad. This is why they ask for the file. If it is the program, then they can tweak the program so that at the end of the conversion, the file is 100% in sync. User cooperation i...
