Re: conversion cancelled by user
Oh, that's what it was! H265, not 264. 264 is compliant, but not 265. You had to convert down to 264 with 265 files. That's truly sad. It's 2023, not 2013. There is absolutely no excuse for a video program to be on the market in 2023 that can't handle a codec that was standardized in 2013. Windows ...

Re: [Codec H265 not supported] conversion failed with hardware enabled
Keep in mind, VSO now has 1 developper, not a team of 20 :( And who's fault is that? Certainly not the user's fault. They should just shut down the shop. Nothing useful has come out of VSO in years. Just reading the changelogs for any new VSO program update tells the story. They show nothing but bu...

Re: Image quality: original file vs Burned DVD
Firstly, you've got a stray extra 0 in your 2160p. You are not going to ever get 4k or UHD quality on a DVD. It's just not going to happen. If you could they never would have invented 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays. Regular Blu-rays only go up to 1080p. This should help you to understand video resolutions... ...

Re: link to versiondownload doesn't work
Here's the correct link: https://download.vso-software.fr/archiv ... 0.0.73.exe
All it was was that the listing used "http" rather than "https". Most current browsers refuse to go to websites that don't use SSL encryption.

Re: Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue with PROXY
I'm not saying this is your problem but you might want to double check your URL. I have seen in the past when using RADAR it will produce a URL that looks similar to this: https:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Yh_6_zItPU Another (unlikely but possible) source of problems is that Firefox has just re...

Re: Save Project as "Maj" key?
Believe me, I am truly heartbroken over what has happened with VSO. I am a long time user of their products and Gold Member. Thankfully I have all their latest programs still active or stored away but based on the circumstances I don't think we'll ever see updates to them. I really think they made a...

Re: Save Project as "Maj" key?
I would think so but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything to happen any time soon. VSO is concentrating on VSO Downloader right now and will get to the other VSO programs later. Unfortunately by "right now" I mean the last 2+ years. The days of VSO doing updates to 3-4 of their programs ...

Re: Downloader 6 beta
In the spirit of beta testing I've decided to run a speed test comparing the V6 beta VSO Downloader against five other video stream downloaders. Only one of the six is a free program (FireDM). For the test I decided to use a typical 1 hour TV show found on a non-DRM video streaming website. Only one...

I don't think it is poor form at all, not if you claim that VSO Downloader is superior to this particular competitor.

Re: Downloader 6 beta
And VSO Downloader is very good, even downloads some videos that its Chinese competitor cannot download. Do tell. Name some of the videos that VSO Downloader can download and their Chinese competitor can't. While you are at it name the Chinese competitor. There are currently 88 Video Streaming Down...

Re: Public beta 6
Crashes immediately every time I try to use it. What Windows OS is this supposed to work with? It certainly doesn't work with Windows 7-64. The more I read the descriptions of this program the more I realized that it is just another Youtube-DL GUI type program. I must have 5-6 free ones already. I d...

Re: Public beta 6
I can't believe this - literally seconds after I posted my last message here I received your email reply to me. It was dated two days ago so I have no idea where it was in all that time.
Thank you. I now have the beta and will give it a good testing.

OK, I sent you the requested email 5 days ago on Jan. 31st with all my information. I still have not heard anything from you and I still can not download the beta. I continue to get "Too many attempt. Try again tomorrow." when I try.

Trying a different one of my email addresses didn't work for me. I got the same "Too many attempt. Try again tomorrow." I guess I'm on the mailing list twice now with no benefit of a download.

[Donwloader 6] Issue downloading Beta
Why offer a public beta if you aren't going to let us download it? I've filled out the request form although I'm a Goldmember for, I think, 7 years and have been a user of VSO Software products and Forum member for about 14 years. I received the email telling me how glad you are to have me try out t...

Re: XP support
I'll try again for your sake, not for mine. You are getting hammered in reviews (see previous link in my last message) because of this line on the ConvertXtoDVD spec page of your website... 512 MB RAM with Windows XP People are taking that incorrectly to mean that the current version of ConvertXtoDV...

Re: XP support
Unfortunately, we had to abandon XP support. Our last update removed Vista and XP support for all our apps. Vista (2006-2009) was the less complicated and we decided to restore compatibility (1hours work) + this work was also structural improvement (no loss f time!). However, restoring XP compatibi...

Re: VSO Download v5.1.1.70 Released for VISTA users
I know this is going to come off sounding inconsiderate of Vista users but when I saw the changelog of the new Download release all I could think of was - Really? Aren't there more important things they could devote their time fixing? Vista hardly had a "community" when it was the new OS t...
