Not the best help to offer, but in future save your projects to a different folder
All the converter did was delete everything in the named folder. It didn't know you saved the project files to your desktop
Go to the settings option, and then choose output folder in the list that appears and ...

Re: Memory leak with large projects ?
Further to my other request, I did manage to find an option to allow each file to have its own bitrate set
But its not easy to find unless you click on the video file, then choose the video editor, then click the video track and only then do you get to see the 'quality advisor' and change the ...

Re: Memory leak with large projects ?
I'm using the very latest 1.1.1.10
I'll get back to you on seeing if the memory leak is still there, but according to the task manager the video converter is using about 600MB when doing an encode and the free memory gradually drops the more encodes are run in a project

Re: Suggestion : Maximum filesize in custom profiles
Many thanks, but what about an option that enables you to set the maximum filesize. I agree the percentage suggestion is awkward as there are too many variables
That way the bitrate is worked out from that filesize, something similiar that is used in your blu-ray/dvd ripper software if you choose a ...

Suggestion : Maximum filesize in custom profiles
Is it possible to add a couple of extra options to control roughly what the maximum filesize will be and also an option to set what percentage of the original filesize the output file will be, that way the bitrate will be set to try and match the filesize or percentage you specified in the custom ...

Re: Memory leak with large projects ?
I've run a big batch this morning of about 50 files to remux to MKV from 7 full DVD rips of episodes (cartoon really so not very long episodes), increased the minimum memory in the video converter settings to 1024 (1GB) free and it seems to have worked

Memory leak with large projects ?
Following on from my post about there being a batch option but its all put into one folder so treated as a single batch project, I may have found a memory leak or memory issue with the video converter

Just a few, which people will probably ask for once the beta is out
1) CUDA/OpenCL. People will always ask for this now
2) Ability to import profiles from Blu-Ray/DVD Ripper
3) Batch processing built-in. Please
4) AviSynth support, or at least the ability to import .avs scripts

Method - How to create a simple batch process
I use MakeMKV, but it has one big downfall in that there is no batch conversion so thought I'd have a try with Ultimate DVD Ripper and after a few minutes came up with this simple batch method

When its ready
Look how long ConvertxtoDVD 5 took, but once here support was and is continuous with frequent bug releases and suggestions as and when ready. Unlike soem that release "maybe" once or twice a year and charge for the privaledge of the bug fixes

Try PotPlayer, 100% freeware, updated frequently 32bit and 64bit versions. I use it after using MediaPlayer Classic and got fed up of the 'issues' it had
Will automatically play virtually any video/audio you give it, including blu-ray and dvd with full menus
Used to be called KMPlayer

If its encoding time, that is entirely dependant on your system, if your computer is more than 3-4 years old that might be the issue not the software. What is your computer. That all depends on your virus software, a few software assumes anything is a virus if their heuristics think the code 'may' be a virus

Not the best solution, but you could try looking at multiavchd
It will convert most video formats to the blu-ray disc structure ready to burn on a blu-ray blank, its also free and can also convert the video to play on a PS3 correctly as well
