Low res xvid, HD - h264.

OK. 356 fps on xvid 700x352. On HD 1920x1080 to dvd about 90+ fps. CX version is 7.0.0.56. Using lanczos filter. And SP mode.
Using 2-pass on 700x352 i got on 1st pass 420+ fps.

Using old version 5.1.0.15 i got 600+ fps on 700x352. HD 1920x1080 got 95 fps. Using one pass, lanczos filter and SP mode ...

On my I9 9900K I got about 400fps when converting without best quality.

For those with with the 2 pass problem, I cannot reproduce either, could you kindly send us a bug report from within the application? Hopefully with your project settings for file info I will be able to reproduce.

Wow! Latest 7.0.0.41 beta uses the max possible bitrate over 9Mbit!!! I'm impressed. And 2-pass not working properly! It's only analysing that's all.

My question is if I change the filter from lanczros to another like linear would this help reduce pixelation or is this a waste and jsut keep lanczros as my default?
You can try to use hann filter, but i always left lanczos by default and got good results. All other filters will not produce any ...

No, man. I got exellent quality with these settings. I easy put up to 4 movies on 4.7Gb disk.

Are you using 4.7GB divs or 8.5GB discs? Usally 2 movies is a max for me per disc (4.7GB) but I have noticed on the hd 1080p tvs the darker scenes go all pixeleated due to CXD using very low bitrate on ...

I had uninstalled this programme but I will reinstall version 7 and try it on those settings. Will those give the best quality possible using a 4.7gb disc? (sp project/2passmode/best quality checked)

Maybe, but i recommend You to use old 5.3.0.24 version. It uses max bitrate and you will ...

To gain max possible quality you should use SP-mode, 2-pass and best quality option. Never use auto mode.

Problem still there. Conversion 2-pass HD to HD ending with error.

So, I create custom preset MKV+H264 and converter is crashing on 2-pass encoding(HD video). It's ok if conversion not in 2-pass mode. I noticed that BQ works only for dvd converting(used pal auto) but if i choose xvid, for example, i got no difference. Fps the same.

Looks like there's no sound sync problem with my custom profile but i still can't understand if Best quality working proprely. Using default Xvid preset and turning BQ On and Off i still got the same fps.

I think Best Quality option not working. I got always the same fps. Found a problem with 2-pass. If it's on then my manual preset with veryslow(h264, prifile - high) conversion not working. If it's off then everything looks ok. But best quality not working at all anyway.
