Update note: I've since tried this on two Windows XP-Sp3 systems. No problems experienced with either build v212 (download was listed as 211-beta) or v216.
However with three Windows-7 64-bit systems, the problems are there.

Unfortunately, you are not alone in this problem.
Often VMP can be made to work again by uninstalling and then installing again - but it is not consistant, and may only work for one or a few DVDs, DVD-folders or video files (such as .mpeg). Closing VMP or rebooting the PC is nearly guaranteed to ...
