Re: Latest CXV beta version - 1.5.0.35
Installed v.35 and tried my project to create a bluray 1080p as my previous posts. This version still does not honor the settings to convert dts to ac3 no matter what audio conversion options I choose. The log file continues to show a raw copy of the dts audio which results in a larger project size ...

Re: Latest CXV beta version - 1.5.0.31
Did you enter a custom target size? It seems so. 3:23:17.034 Info Target size: 44.9 Gb. The default value in the application is 46 000 MB The software should still have converted to be under what ever value is inserted for the target size - so this is bug. Are you inserting a BD 25 or BD 50 disk to...

Re: Latest CXV beta version - 1.5.0.31
I have installed v.31 and am trans coding the same 5 file project as before. I see already from the log that the audio is not being recoded to dolby digital (from dts) as set in the preferences. I will report if the project size comes out as indicated (43.8GB) when selecting BD-50 as output. The pro...

Re: Latest CXV beta version - 1.5.0.30
Hi Claire, Yes, I am sure that I set the output file size to BD-50. The main program screen even verified that I had selected BD-50 as it indicated an output size of 41.7GB with a 95.9% Video Quality. If you look at the log file, it indicates; 00:47:16.167 Info Output target size : BD-50 (46000 MB) ...

Re: Latest CXV beta version - 1.5.0.30
I installed v.30b and did a blu-ray project with five mkv video files and selected BD50 (46000MB) as my BD target size. The software indicated a 96.5% video quality at 41.7 GB. After the lengthy conversion process and burning, I found the project was only 21.5GB and would have fit on a single layer ...

Re: Video Converter Vs Blu-ray Converter or DVD Converter
Hello, Blu-ray and DVD Converter use an advanced parsing method allowing to extract all extra video parts like bonuses, angles, versions... when Video Converter extract only the main parts. The other difference is in video editor. You can add files in Y axis only using Blu-ray and DVD converter whe...

Re: Convert to AVCHD 1080p or Blu Ray 1080p?
It's been my experience that all Blu-ray players will obviously play blu-ray but not all blu-ray players will play AVCHD format as it was primarily meant for camera video. The only advantage AVCHD has is that it can do hidef video on a dvd disc, otherwise there is no advantage that I can see. Hope t...

Re: New beta version 1.5.0.5
Hi Neil,
Thank you for taking the time to explain the remux conversion, it makes perfect sense and I understand. I now realize that the reference frames only come into effect when transcoding the video.
Many thanks,
Tony

Re: New beta version 1.5.0.5
I updated to version 1.5.0.5 and updated my nvidia driver to "344.11-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql" and the software seems to be running fine. I've noticed that using my custom mkv remux profile that the reference frames quantity is not being honored when I do a remux. I ha...

Re: New official version 1.5.0.3
I am having several problems with 1.5.0.3. The first is that it throws an error message upon launch (see attached picture file). The second one is that it refuses to use hardware acceleration with the new nvidia driver "344.11-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql" and won't do a c...

Re: Latest beta version 1.5.0.2
Hi MyMojo, Thanks for the heads up on the new driver. I installed it and did a reference conversion of my mkv file with DTS HD MA 7.1 and NVENC enabled. The hardware accel was very low at a 2-10% utilization and a conversion speed of 49-60 fps with an average of about 59 fps. The utilization could u...

I have not been able to use Cuda on either 1.5.0 or 1.5.0.1. I've reverted to 1.4.0.22 and it works.
