I have purchased the divx codec and I would like to use with DVD Converter. Why I can not?

because Xvid does not play the dvd-player of my home and yes it played Divx

Hello. I'm trying DVD converter and I have successfully installed my Divx codec. When I go to rip a dvd only shows me the option Xvid. Why can not I choose Divx? When ripping the DVD in Xvid in home dvd player can not play. Thank
