During installation check the three options under "Cleaning options before installation"

Check for update does not work. Click on the menu and nothing happens.

Subtitles SRT 7.0.0.43

Post by wtin »

Format won't keep with 7.0043, using SRT format.

With "merge subtitles.." on.

Hello wtin,

I cannot reproduce either of the last two problems you posted. When you mean "merge" subtitles you mean embed? Maybe you can post your subtitle file here?

7.0.0.43 subtitles

Should have created a video to show you. Here is one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHrPKmhSWiA

It's a video downloaded from Kissasian.com website. I chose English subtitle.

Board won't allow uploading of SRT format, so I zipped it.

Check for latest version 70043

Post by wtin »

This morning it's working.

I wonder if it was my Symantec Endpoint Protection firewall setting.

Will let you know if it happens again.

Thanks for the video and the subtitles, but what exactly are you trying to show with the video? The subtitle settings are not being applied? In the preview window? Or after the conversion?

7.0.0.43 subtitles

Post by wtin »

Just tried it again. Now it's working, but only after I changed some setting under [subtitle text style editor]. (I changed the "outline size" to 10 and click OK and changed it down to 5 and clicked OK again.

Now the settings are kept.

Reporting a small bug in beta 7.0.0.46. Just registered and could do a version update check just fine. Though in the bottom left CXD reports "Computer ID: Unknown (No Internet)". Obviously it has since i'm posting this from that very machine and the update check worked just fine.

DVD standard does not support srt format, therefore srt subtitles are not remuxed but encoded. You can find subtitle positioning options in the settings.

Does it happened just that time or everytime you check?

It Seems you didn't get my point, take a look at my screenshots, in second screenshot subtitle is not in the place that was in First screenshot, CXD change the location of subtitle while encoding, This only happens for SRT subtitles that merged to MKV file

@deadlyshadow: Are you saying that position of subtitles differs from preview to final encode with srt streams embeded in mkv files?

If yes I can't reproduce, PM sent

looks to have been just one time atm. Seems to be back to the "drag video files..." message at the bottom. I'll keep an eye on it
