During one of Microsofts many updates I lost my vmp player and cannot watch any movies on my laptop.
I can whatch movies if I use VLC media player so I guessing that it is not the computer or drivers , but I will let you make that call

ps VMP will not find DVD it shows a torn page
VSO media player will not recognize or load a DVD
