Subtitle Language Displayed

Post by dupecoop »

I have a video with three different subtitle (.srt) files.

When I play the DVD on a TV, and press the remote's subtitle button, the language for all three says "English". The correct language subtitles are displayed on the screen as expected. But I want each choice to show the name of each language.

How do I do this? Thanks for your help!

Name the srt file exactly similar as the movie, adding the language at the end before the .srt
Movie name.en.srt
This should show the subtitle language as English.

Have a look here:

What the names of the other two languages? You'd have to change the .en in the SRT file name to the corresponding shorthand for whatever those other 2 languages are, I'd think.
