We've updated the motor engine, please reopen Downloader, check for updates (Help menu).

with the latest v5 & the latest ENGINE, I also get BLACK video (No video stream at all)
BUT the good news is this, I am a ßeta tester and I tried those 2 video with the latest v6 ßeta and the latest engine, and I got 100% success for those 2 videos, so whatever issues there is in v5 is now fixed in v6...

I too was getting this black video problem when I tried the latest downloader (I have been a registered user for some time now). Then I took the chance on the latest beta version. I had several issues when installing it, as they were in French, I was unable to determine what it was saying. I managed to actually download 1 (and the only 1) with the beta version where I liked that it worked. But since then, I cannot get the beta version to work at all. My questions are:
1) When trying the beta version should I have uninstalled the paid version 5 (latest version not sure of the number while I am typing this)?
2) In the beta version were we only allowed to try it the once before it stopped working all together?
3) As far the French messages go is there some setting that I could see what they say in English?
4) I will await comments on telling me I should uninstall my paid version of 5, then uninstall the beta version 6 and try installing 6 again (if it will allow me to do that. Will I be able to download it again with my current email address which I used the first time or will I need to supply a different email address?
5) I sent off an email back to the powers that be but with the holidays I have not heard a reply (which I understand fully) thought I would use the forum as I have done in the past when I had CXD (of which I have a lifetime membership) issues that I needed answers. On that subject does anyone know how long before 64 bit version of CXD is going to be before it is released? I have been awaiting that since it was announced and have not seen much written about it but that it would be delayed because of COVID-19 yet again.
Any help would be appreciated as I do use this all that often but have found it very useful when I do require it.

You can KEEP your v5, I have been running both version without an issue...
French messages ? Humm the application should be in english when you 1st install, wonder why you are seeing french stuff !!!
I have *NOT* seen the BETA that has been offered to you, I have been running a registered version since it was very early alpha (Yes I am one of their Beta Testers) so unsure what limitations you have...
Based on a message from Jacques in another thread, this beta should be able to be registered with your v5 KEY *IF* you are available for an upgrade (Still valid key, 1 year free upgrade or gold key I guess

If you already have v6 installed, and wish to DELETE all configs and start with a fresh set of configs, look here:
delete the config.json
Once v6 restarts, it will create a 100% new clean settings....
Still don't get why you got french messages ....

I still have the problem; if anything it has gotten worse. It usually happens with MKV videos but not with MP4. Audio is fine, but only a black screen for video. I do not wish to be a beta tester and I do not understand French. As far as I know, I am running the latest publicly available version on the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Usually only Gold VSO Members get the next version at no extra cost, but I have not seen any pricing details yet
I successfully run both version 5 and beta 60055. No black issue.
For beta had to do clean install a couple of times
