Playing Preview Results in Green in Bottom Half of Preview Screen.
Not all films I convert cause this problem. When it comes time to burn the result, the Green appears in the bottom half of the finished DVD when played.
I have attached a graphic of the ConvertXtoDVD 7 screen and a copy of the MediaInfo file for the deep-divers who can spot the problem. Must be that ConvertXtoDVD 7 is missing a video codec needed to render the video. Anyone know, if this is the problem, where I can get the codec(s) from?
BTW, video plays ok with PowerDVD 22, MediaPlayer, or VLC Media Player in Windows 11 before conversion. A mystery.

What are your settings for subtitle?
Green is on "subtitle area" so there is something.

Even without subtitles, the green blocking shows up. This does not happen with every video file I am converting...just the odd one. Must be a problem with the codec of the video I am converting.

This probably doesn't affect preview playback, but I know in the past, enabling Two Pass Encoding resulted in the first 10 seconds of the output being replaced with a solid green screen and no audio. Just to see if it helps, do you have Two Pass Encoding enabled? Try disabling it if you do.

Yes two pass still does the 10 second "freeze". Never had the "green" issue and still doing plenty to dvds every month. Must be an issue with the file, not the app

I just burnt dvd of the same file using the app and I do not get the green at all playing it on ordinary dvd player.
Ideas to correct it:
Try clean reinstall of the app
Try installing KLiteCodec (decoder bundle)
Try download the file again but from a different source

Re: Playing Preview Results in Green in Bottom Half of Preview Screen
PROBLEM SOLVED:
-I tried disabling 2-pass encoding with no change in results.
-I tried installing the KLiteCodec (as recommended)
Then I just reset ConvertXtoDVD 7 to factory defaults and tried decoding...no green pattern on preview screen.
So, I started to add 2-pass encoding...then using highest quality settings to see if I could reproduce the problem...no green pattern on preview screen.
THEN, I enabled Hardware Acceleration through my AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT card and what-do-you-know...I got the green pattern on the preview screen. This problem only seems to happen on certain types of movie file formats...it seems to be black and white older movies...never had a problem with color newer movies...weird. Must be a driver problem with my card or an anomaly with the RX5700XT under Windows 11 22H2.
So, if I preview a movie from now on, if I get the problem...I just disable the Hardware Acceleration.
