DTS to AC3

Converting Avatar CE. The disk already has a 5.1 ac3 audio track, why is it converting the DTS track instead of just direct copying the AC3?

What is the bitrate of the AC3 track? Lots of BD use 640kbit/s, but the DVD specs limit the maximum AC3 bandwidth to 448kbit/s. So to get a fully compliant DVD, an AC3 track with higher bitrate has to be converted as well and than it's maybe a good idea to use the higher quality format as conversion source.
Anyway, generally it would be nice if there were more configuration possibilities - maybe hidden in some kind of expert mode.
