Beta 1.1.1.6
The "encode AVI with high compatibility video/audio settings" does not seem to work? Should they?
Selection of either option ALWAYS fails to work?
See log attached with error "Error while preparing input/output contexts. Conversion can't start".

Re: Query about high compatibility
Hi,
I reproduced then fixed your problem...
It only appear when high compatibility Audio setting is enabled AND output format request multichannel (like HD Ready & Full HD format, no problem with low resolution formats...).
In high compatibility audio mode, an old codec is used and doesn't support multichannel.
If you want to keep multichannel, I think you should try to disable this option BUT setting high compatibility video setting ON to see if your DivX player is able to play it.
This fix will be available in next beta version (1.2.2.7), coming in less than one hour.
Please check http://forums.vso-software.fr/dvd-converter-t14598.html post soon...
Thank you for your help!

Re: Query about high compatibility
Hi Cedric,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I had not seen the popup information under hight compatibility mode being relevant to divx and didn't really know what it was.
An avi was produced that plays properly in Nero Kwik media player but plays with absolutely non-synchronised sound in divx player. I can't even figure out where the sound comes from it is so much out of whack? i have never had problems with divx and do not know how valid the file is?
The log is a bit strange as well - the highlighted coloured sections contradict each other?

Any clues - is the fault with the divx player?
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I did not read your reply properly and set both high compatibility for audio and video in v 1.2.2.7 and got very confusing results? I have converted several DVDs thinking that everything was fine?I think you should try to disable this option
