Help with Bluray Converter and Convert DVD to mp4 and other formats. strip Bluray, convert to Blu-ray or avchd, convert blu ray to mkv, avi, copy DVDs and much more.
If copying and converting a Blu-ray to DVD take same time, it seems DVD converter engine is slowed by HDD access times and low CPU usage is totally normal.
If you want to merge a subtitle track (forced or not) in an MKV file, you need to create your custom profile...
In custom profile selector, just set the subtitle track type as 'Merge subtitle in video'.
With this new profile you will not be able to select more than one subtitle track in same time, but it will be merged in video stream, not as separate DVD-VOB subtitle track.
EDIT : I think all your questions are helpfull and should be asked in a new post to be more visible... (we are reaching the 6th page )
Very good progress you made with this latest beta version.
I flawlessly works on Windows XP and Windows 7 x86.
But it absolutley does not work on Windows 7 x64. There I get an "access violation" error when I try to open the advanced settings. And first of all on Windows 7 x64 when I try to open the exe I get the error " list index out of bounds (2).
Unfortunatley the list index out of bounds error also occurs with the version 1.3.0.2
As I said, all works on x86 systems correctly but not on x64 systems.
The "list index out of bounds error" seems to be related with old registry value, but I'm not able to reproduce...
To fix it, remove Blu-ray converter registry keys (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VSO\Blu-ray Converter Ultimate) then reinstall.
The same error occurs. As I said before. It only occurs on x64 systems.
I have the latest nVidia drivers installed, Service 1 and all patches and hotfixes for Windows 7 x64.
Maybe there are different dependencies on x64 systems?
And one more item on the x64 system when I try to open the Advanced sttings tab:

Picture of access violation when opening Advanced settings tab
I don't think the problem is related to x64 OS because I tried to reproduce on 3 Win7 x64 computers without "success".
The problem can be with NVidia card, will try to reproduce by considering this point.
There must be something wrong with the programmed code, I don't think it's the driver, because I found a solution maybe it is useful for your development. And I love this app that's why I post here.
As I said before the list index out of bounds still occur.
Now to the advanced settings tab. It now works but it was a hard work to find the solution by trying this and that...
OK, If anybody has the same problems with it, just: Click to load a Bluray or AVCHD structure
Then load from folder and select your movie. When the folder structure has loaded successfully
after all the Advanced setting tabs work.
I am saying this before loading a movie, this error occurs.
And this error sill occurs.
Clicking the advanced settings tab first does not work at all.
I noticed something else. The list out of bounds error message pops up when 1 or 2 registry entries are missing. Does not matter which one. Your installer creates those entries in HKCU...
Can't you make it happen that the intalled exe creates those entries? Because the installer missed installing the proper entries. Just a suggestion. Just like, for example img burn. IMGBurn creates those entries when the application starts the very first time.
You must know I create installers by myself with Windows Installer Technology and I know what I am talking about.
At some time there was a preview of the background image used for BD->DVD conversion. It was also possible to use a different image file as background picture. In the newer versions, I can't seem to find these options. So were they removed (if so: why?) or relocated (if so: where?)?
