DVD Converter: new beta version available! (2.1.1.35)

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.7)
I have a problem with the new version (1.4.0.7).
When any codec is set to remux, the size limit greys out and the estimated final filesize becomes 0 bytes. When you press start, it runs an error.
EDIT:
I also notice that the max filesize in the log is incredibly larger than the source's size.

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.6)
transformers ripped ok now......thanks
Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
I have a problem with the new version (1.4.0.8).
The remuxing works great now, I'm grateful for that. The size limit box is still greyed and the estimated final filesize still says 0 bytes, but no errors are found when I press Start. When using the H.264 video codec (the one using only the CPU to encode), the converted video stream comes out flawless, but when using the H.264 CUDA video codec, the converted video stream comes out shaky and twitchy (very poor quality).
My theory is since the graphics card has a lot of cores, splitting among the cores degrades the encoding quality, but I can be wrong in this case. Please fix this.
EDIT: Maybe a 2-pass feature may fix the problem?
Thanks.

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
what movie, and what avi or mkv?
can you post your log please?
can you post your log please?
Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
Hello Claire, thank you for your response!
I used the same movie in both cases. It's the actual DVD, Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
I used the program to convert it to MKV using the H.264/H.264 CUDA video codec respectively and remuxed the audio for both.
Here's the log for the H.264 CUDA copy, since it's the one I have the issue with:

Hi,
Please, can you give me the output file size for both profile (H264 & H264 CUDA)?
Maybe the problem is with bitrate values...
Thank you.

Hi Cedric, thank you for your response!
I use the trial, so only 10 minutes gets converted. I'll convert again using both profiles, and will post both logs and the specs of both files.
EDIT: Here's the log containing the conversion log of both profiles and the media info for both files.
Here's a list of the key differences between the 2 files:
GENERAL
Overall bit rate mode:
H.264 CUDA - Variable; H.264 - None
VIDEO
Format settings, ReFrames:
H.264 CUDA - 2 frames; H.264 - 3 frames
Format settings, GOP:
H.264 CUDA - M=3, N=12; H.264 - None
Bit rate mode:

Hi,
Can you post your custom profile details too?
Have you tried with generic profiles?
Thanks.

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
added my custom profile , had to zip as it would not add the .xml file
have tried other custom profiles and some generic plus also borrowed another copy of the same disk from a mate and it does the same. It kicks up the error in exactly the same place

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (1.4.0.8)
Found a way round it and it worked.....
opened up the disk in convertxtodvd and selected first vob of main movie so it finds the whole film , select dvd9 as output so no loss of quality and rip to hard drive ( noticed on log it corrected a few time errors right about the same time the original errors showed up) then did the dvd converter conversion from this rip and all worked perfectly.
Also the region 1 version of Navy Seals wouldn't convert at all at first but doing it the same way as just mentioned and it works perfectly.

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (2.0.0.4)
tried a custom profiles with new 2.0.0.4 and it wouldnt even start (if you have ac3 sound selected.........change to mp3 and it works but comes out 4:3 fullscreen)
tried the low resolution xvid profile (576x324) ......output comes out 640x480 fullscreen on everything also the picture breaks up and stutters on all outputted videos
tried this on r1 and r2 dvds all widescreen disks which worked fine in 1.4.0.8

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (2.0.0.4)
havent got it now............what about your built in profile i mentioned.............everything coming out 4:3 instead of widescreen????
Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (2.0.0.4)
Hi,
What is the video aspect ratio of original item?
If the original aspect ratio is 4:3, DVD Converter will not add (useless) black bars to fit on 16:9, even if you selected a 16:9 format (like 1080p).
Regards.

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (2.0.0.4)
i know about aspect ratios......been encoding for years and i stated widescreen in my post
what ever i input into it outputs to 4:3
it wont output ac3
the low profile xvid (576x324) on your own profiles is outputting everything to 4:3 and are also coming out 640x480
i have had to go back to version 1.4.0.8...............at least it works

Re: DVD Converter: new version available! (2.0.0.4)
Well , i decided to install the newest version again and have another go
Figured out the widescreen/fullscreen problem...............program was automatically padding 52 left and right so once switched to manual and change these to 0
Finally got a dvd to complete encoding but now it stutters slightly and now and again breaks up with blocks over the screen
dvd region 2 iron man
profile low resolution xvid
