CUDA reset problem
I have an 8600GS based video card. When I select the CUDA output option, after some length of time (an hour or two), my video card will reset and Blu-ray converter will act like it is still converting but the preview will stop and the remaining conversion will go very fast. When I try to view the output with VLC, it is unable to go past the point of failure. Also, the file size is shorter than expected if the whole movie were converted. One movie, out of 4 attempts, actually made it to completion. When the same movie is attempted repeatedly, the problem occurs at a different place each time. Is there a fix for this? Also, I am thinking of upgrading to a GT430 card, primarily for speed reasons. Would this upgrade also solve this reset problem?
Re: CUDA reset problem
Sounds like video card overheating and crashing.
Try converting without Cuda - does it work? (yes, it is slower)

Re: CUDA reset problem
Oh, yes - it works fine without CUDA - after 17 hours of processing

Next step is to check GFX card, clean cooling rods and fan.
If it does not have a fan, only passive cooling - then install a fan, conversion heats it up and that crashes it.
