Retry Duration

Post by Zero3K »

It would be nice if it had an option to specify a duration in which it'll restart the downloaded streams.

That only applies to failed downloads. I want an option to do a "Restart download" (which is in the right-click menu of a downloading stream) every couple of user-definable minutes.

Because some streams are up and down thoughout the day (such as a stream of a model on Sexier.com). By adding that function, it would then record the model the next time he/she comes on without any user input.

Have you tried with the downloader open/minimized while for instance the stream stops and starts again later? What happened? Does the first record stops and another one is being detected?
Actually it depends on the website configuration: if it loads in real time a new stream, you should be able to record it as it starts, otherwise you'll need to refresh the page to do so.
Any question about VSO Downloader? See the FAQ.

The webpage doesn't work that way. It requires a member to be logged on to acceaa it again. Restarting the stream bypasses that. There is a good reason to be able to do what I'm asking. Its just hard for me to explain it.

Why can't you implement it? This is the only feature that's keeping me from uninstalling GetFLV (http:// www. getflv. net) and using your program instead of using both. What GetFLV does is that it ignores the end of a RTMP/etc. based stream and keeps recording it.

Is adding my request too hard to do?
