Request : Saved File Name

Like the title says, I'd like to specify the saved file name. I queued loads of downloads last night and this morning i've got:

ARD Video On Demand.flv
ARD Video On Demand (1).flv
.
.
.
ARD Video On Demand (123).flv etc

Now, without watching I've no idea which episode is which.

I've started again, manually renaming the files. This seems to work, but is alot of effort.

Hello,

the link you posted is a RSS, there's no media detection with it. You need to post the URL where media got detected.
It seems you detected a playlist - or many videos in a row - and I couldn't figure out how did you do that. I tested the renaming with some of the videos hosted on the site and I didn't get any problem. Are files renaming well when downloading them separately?

click on any of the links in the RSS and you get the content. take this one as an example http://mediathek.daserste.de/sendungen_ ... uchstabe=W

renaming manually works fine. however the auto name (say 20120501-whatever-the-content-is.mp4) gets renamed at the end to ard-video-on-demand.flv

I don't want this rename. Even better would be the source URL saved somewhere as an info file or meta tag. mediathek.daserste.de_sendungen_a-z_1430_wissen-macht-ah-_9630534_ein-bild-fuer-die-goetter_buchstabe_W

could you provide me the log of that file ?
Detect the media, and when downloading, right click on it and 'view log file', then 'open log file', save it and attach it to your message.

I also noticed that in version 2.9.9.22 if you try to delete a video, then VSO downloader simply hangs.

Version 2.9.9.24 does not resolve this issue. Additionally VSO-Downloader cannot be closed when this zero file is existing in the download list. Forcing shutdown doesn't help much as next start it's still in the list.
