Cannot sort out Access Violation problem
I have had this problem with version 1.4.0.8 and with version 2. Am now running the latest version (2.1.1.16) and still get the Access Violation error if I try to click the 'Advanced Settings' button, and also part way thru the conversion (Sometimes it is fairly quickly, other times it gets almost all the way to the end)
I am running Windows 7 SP1 x64 with AnyDVD . I haven't tried ripping the entire BluRay to disk first as doing that would not be acceptable anyway. I have tried disabling DEP for the program.

Maybe nobody has a solution because they are not getting that error?
Usual causes for that type of error are fixed by VSO Clean and reinstall.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound impatient.
I have tried VSO clean. Also tried turning off DEP for the application.
Will have to try contacting the support team directly.

Tried it but it still doesn't work.
I used the VSO Clean tool to remove the old version, then rebooted before installing this one.

Thank you for your helpfull screenshot...
Can you try with the last beta version I've just published (2.1.1.19) to check if your problem is fixed?
If you don't get the access violation, I think your problem can be with your graphic card drivers (can you check if a new verison is available?)
If you still have the access violation, can you uninstall the Elby low filter, reboot your computer then retry?

Well, it has been a while, but I have been busy and have recently re-built the system with a new installation of Win8. I now no longer get the Access Violation error but the app crashes all the time. I get the following error, normally a couple minutes into conversion:

I noticed that windows reports no antivirus on your old system, but there is connection from your system to Comodo server, are you running Comodo?

That old report is no longer valid as I have rebuilt with a clean installation of Windows 8. I am currently just using the built-in Windows Defender AV which seems good enough for an HTPC.

The released version (on our web site) has been released today, I'm not sure you installed this version... (but the yesterday forum version)

Nope, still the same error with 2.1.1.25. Getting bored of this now. I haven't managed to rip one disc successfully.

Can you give me the error address displayed when error appear ("access violation at...")
Do you have a quick internet connection?
If yes I will be able to fix your problem easily by doing a remote debug session.

I've fixed it! I was troubleshooting another problem with a different application and discovered that it was the nVidia graphics driver causing it. I uninstalled the card and switched to the built-in AMD graphics and that problem went away. Then I thought, 'I wonder if it has fixed the Blu-Ray Converter issue', really not expecting it to, but lo and behold, it all works perfectly now!
So to anyone with issues, check if your graphics adapter and driver are not the problem.

EDIT: Scrub that, error came back. It did make a difference tho, so more investigation...
