Hi.
I just finished converting a 30~GB BluRay movie, to a 100% lossless MKV. Set all the options to highest, and the "quality meter" was all green.
Only VLC manages to play it, but it has lots of random artifacts; low framerate, short freezes. When resuming from the freeze, the image is briefly pixelated, until VLC "recovers".
Basically it acts as if the file is too resource-heavy for my system.
I'd assume the reason is that 30GB Full HD files aren't meant to be played on a PC, and it will work on my TV. But the artifacts weren't occurring at the same time, each time.
i.e. freeze at exactly X time, resume at Y, stuttering and low framerate at Z.
The conclusion is that the file is defected.
The TV will arrive tomorrow, I want to be ready until then.

Re: Malfunctioning MKV after BluRay conversion.
Hi GbeTech,
If you are not limited by output file size and you want to keep the Blu-ray quality, I suggest you to use the "remuxing" profile.
No encoding will be done and the process will take less than 20 min...
For your information, I've just published a new beta version (2.1.1.19) you can test.
I'm waiting for your feedback...
Edit: Can you give me the movie name you are trying to convert?
Thank you.
