Conversion to DVD doesn't created .ifo & .bup files

Hi,

the web site says that conversion from Blu-ray to DVD will create the correct DVD file structures including the .IFO & .BUP files.

The trial version creating a 10 min file worked so my wife purchased Blu-ray Converter ultimate. The license key was accepted and the PC rebooted.

Now when selecting DVD PAL 16/9 the .vob files are created but no .IFO or .BUP files. The individual .vob files can be played.

How do we make the conversion create the required files ?

If conversion is not finished properly for some reason, then there will not be those files.
Successful conversion produces those files.

Hi, I have been trying various options with menu generation, it appears that some of them cause the files not to be generated. I am still trying different options and have found that some create a .vob file with a grey speckle background with "VSO Software SARL" in the middle.

Why does this happen and how do I stop it ?

When creating fully compliant DVD those files must be there.
There are other targets you can convert to which do not require all the same files as DVD does.

That small vob is just a dummy, as many players expect to find that file.
It is required for proper operation in those cases.

Thanks, I understand the required file structure for DVDs but I don't want my videos branded with the VSO company logo.

What I was saying is that when generating DVDs some selections for menus don't create the required .ifo and .bup files.

When creating DVDs is there an option that doesn't brand the output with the company logo ?

That file is a dummy, it is not played but it is required by some players.

Will have to chalk the wasted purchase up to experience and find a different product.
