It isn't possible to choose bitrates over 128 Kbit/s, even not at own created custom profiles.

I use MKV H.264 - AC3/ 6 channels (5.1)/ max. bitrate 128 Kbit/s choose able.

5.1 standard allows max 640kbit/s for total. If you have 5 channels with 128k - that uses it all.

The audio bitrate setting is a "bitrate by channel" value, not an average bitrate value...
That mean if you select 128Kbit/s, you will get a 768Kbit/s average bitrate on a 5.1 output profile.

There might come problems with some players if 5.1 has total over 640kbit/s as standard defines it to be maximum, and even less on DVD (348/448).
Usually with computers there is no problem playing out-of-specs but DVD/BR hardware might be limited.

In version 3.1.0.20 "merged in Video" subtitles don't work by Output Format "mkv".
So I tried the beta version 3.1.0.25, but there always comes the fault message "Access violation at address 00D1A0DE in module 'BlurayConverterUlitmate.exe'. Read of adress 00000014.".

I just wanted to add that in 3.1.0.25 I am also getting the error "Access violation at address 00D1A0DE in module 'BlurayConverterUlitmate.exe'. Read of adress 00000014." This happens in both BluRayConverter and DVDConverter, using built in and custom profiles whenever I click start to try to convert a movie. Let me know if you need any additional information to help diagnose this issue.

The same problem: "Access violation at address 00D1A0DE in module 'BlurayConverterUltimate.exe'. Read of address 00000014". Just after I click Start. Unfortunately logs shows nothing :-(

Windows 8.1 and latest beta of Blu-ray Converter, built-in output format MKV H264.

So far I cannot reproduce.

I'm actually not sure where the logs are stored, I've looked in the program folder, AppData folder, and the Windows event viewer and haven't seen logs anywhere. Regardless, here is some additional information:

- I have uninstalled BluRay/DVD Converter Ultimate, deleted all remaining files, and removed all remaining entries in the registry. After reinstalling, the problem persists with all default profiles (including the remux only profile)
-The problem persists whether or not two-pass encoding and "Use best video quality settings" are checked
-The problem persists whether hardware encoding/decoding is enabled
-The problem persists regardless of quality factor (size or slider)
-The problem persists whether or not the program is run with administrative rights
-The problem occurs whether loading from .iso, a folder, or from either of my disc drives (one connected via SATA2 and one USB)
- I can play the entire DVD or blu-ray from within DVD and Blu Ray Converter ultimate video editor
- The problem persists no matter which audio tracks are selected (even if no audio or subtitle tracks are checked)
- The problem persists with antivirus disabled

System Information:
Windows 7 x64 SP1 (with latest updates)
i7-2600k CPU @ 3.7GHz
16GB DDR3 RAM @ 2133Mhz
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 670 3GB DDR5 (Driver version 331.65)

In the software got to Help/Tools and from there select to show the log, at the bottom of this new window you will see a button "open log folder".

It seems you created a custom profile with "Merged in video" setting as subtitle codec?
But what do you selected for Video codec? Do you selected remux?
I need to disable "Merged in video" option for subtitles if video codec is set to remux (because merged subtitles option can't be used if video is not decoded/reencoded)
