Re: VSO Downloader 3.1.2.6
I like 3.1.2.6 way better than version 4.0.0.19 seems that converting to AVI with 4 is not worth my time; it will not play on any thing I have; Like my player that I use a USB stick with; usb saved a few disk from time to time.
I hope you can fix this; a few around my house said that VSO has the best that they had ever seen; I carry 1 lap top to my Uncles house 72yrs old said 3.1.2.6 is great also 4 not able to play AVI on anything around the house. Now he is sad!
THANKS FOR THE GREAT PRODUCTS

-------> Hi classic138,
My family also has a DVD Player which has a USB Flash Drive (USB Stick) port. And we have a TV CRT 21 inches (my family is poor,so till now we can not buy a TV LCD or TV LED yet).I think the reason of your matter is : the output files (which are downloaded and then converted by VSO Downloader) have the resolution, bit rate, frame rate, format which are not compatible with your device.VSO Downloader can convert videos which are downloaded by itself, but it can't change the resolution, bit rate, frame rate... for compatible with your device. To do this work, you should use VSO Video Converter. It has more options for converting than VSO Downloader.
Below are my 2 examples. After reading them,I'm sure you will understand what I want to say :
1.My elder brother has a Nokia E71 mobile phone.Any video which can be played on this mobile phone must has these below parameters :
- format : mp4
- codec : mpeg4 (divx)
- resolution : 320x240 (it means that if the original video which was downloaded completely by VSO Downloader has other resolution (such as 540x350),after it is converted by VSO Downloader, the output video still has resolution 540x350 as source video (because VSO Downloader doesn't have option to change the resolution of downloaded video) and so it can't be played on this mobile phone.)
- bit rate : 384 kbps (it means that if the bit rate of the converted video is higher (such as 1200kbps),this video can't be played on this mobile phone)
- frame rate : 15 pfs (it means that if the frame rate of the converted video is higher (such as 30 fps),this video can't be played or played with error on this mobile phone)
.....
2.Any video (in USB stick) which can be played on my DVD Player must have these below parameters :
- format : Avi,mp4,mpg (mpeg1,mpeg2),vob
- codec : Xvid or Divx
- resolution : max resolution is 720x540.It means that if the video which was downloaded completely and then converted by VSO Downloader has higher resolution (such as 1280x720),it will not be able to played on my DVD Player.(VSO Downloader has no option to change the resolution of the video which was downloaded completely by itself)
- bit rate : 768kps (or higher,I'm not sure)
- frame rate : 24/25/30fps
.....
Recapitulate, although VSO Downloader can convert video to other format, but if the downloaded video has the resolution, frame rate, bit rate... which is not compatible with your device ------> the video converted by VSO Downloader also can't be played on your compatible device. To play downloaded video on your device, you should use VSO Video Converter because it has more options for converting than VSO Downloader.
Hope these things will be useful for you
Best regards.
