Can't edit subtitles format

Post by Gummboote »

Hello. I've been using Video Converter 1 to make an MKV file with subtitles, converting from an MPG movie file and .srt subs file. I want to edit the subs format, to get the typeface, size etc as I prefer. When I click on Advanced Edit, then click on the subtitles track, it shows the font as Tahoma white size 41. I've changed this in the subtitles style editor, then clicked OK, save and close, and start... only to have the converted MKV play with subs in Tahoma size 41. I've tried multiple times and just cannot get the program to save or recognise my subtitle preferences. Any suggestions???

Hello Gummboote,

How are the subtitles in preview?
Can you confirm that subtitle position/size/font/color in preview are not the same as converted file?

Hi Cedric. In preview everything looks fine, the changes are visible as I make them and it seems to be working. But then I view the finished file and they're not there.

I've tried editing the default style and it doesn't seem to make any difference. But when I opened up General Settings I found Tahoma wasn't actually set as the default font. Why doesn't the default show as the font in preview??

Hello

Both reported bugs should be fixed in last beta version (1.3.0.3):
