Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
I've installed v14b with the following results..
I converted a high quality mkv file of 13.6GB with DTS HD 7.1 audio using my custom 1080P remux profile.
The output Blu-ray folder was only 3.6GB in size. Audio track 1 was missing with no sound (should have been DTS core 5.1) but audio track 2 was present (AC3). Video file size was extremely small considering original file size and quality. Also, very little hardware assist is being utilized. Attached are the log file and clip of hardware utilization.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
I installed v15 tonight and tried another conversion of the same high quality ( 13.6GB) mkv file with DTS HD 7.1 audio using my custom remux profile. I went through the settings twice to make sure they were set correctly.
The output blu-ray folder this version was a more reasonable 8.69GB, although the quality estimator only estimated a little over 1GB!
The video looked excellent but audio stream 1 was absent. Audio stream 2 of AC3 stereo was present. So, no change in audio conversion from v14b.
Cuda support is still not performing to previous versions. Attached is graphic clip of Cuda usage during conversion. Framerates are down from 75-80 fps to 35-40 fps.
Attached is the log file for the conversion.
Thanks,

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
I've installed v16b and used my custom 1080p remux profile on my test standard mkv file with dts hd 7.1 audio and did a conversion. The conversion process was much faster at 75 to 80 frames per second and the invidea inspector verified a high utilization. The blu-ray m2ts file indicated the presence of both the dts extracted core and ac3 audio streams. Upon playing the folder, the video was choppy and pixelated and the dts audio stream did not play but the ac3 did play.
Hope this helps...

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Installed v17b and did a reference conversion with my mkv file with dts hd 7.1 audio. I rechecked my custom profiles for remux. I then exited and reentered the program to make sure the profiles were loaded. The audio on the main interface page indicated the two audio streams but the dts was shown incorrectly as dts 5.1 instead of dts hd 7.1. During the conversion process the log file indicated a raw copy of both streams which seems to be a contradiction of the indicated audio streams on the main page. Also, entering the audit page, it allowed changing the bit rate of the video instead of giving the remux no option indication.
The output file showed two audio streams with the dts indicated as core 5.1 instead of the remux of dts hd 7.1. Upon playing the output, stream audio 1 of dts was absent with no output. Audio stream 2 of ac3 played fine. Video output looked great. Hardware acceleration during conversion was working at 35-80% utilization. So, remux of dts audio not working. Attached is log file.
Thanks,

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Hello scorpion90,
I know that your problem is with DTS 7.1 detection and I will try to fix it today...
The remux process works for DTS track, but like VC misdetected the source channel count, it tag the output stream as 5.1 channels.
So the output DTS stream is exactly the same as input, but VC tagged this stream as 5.1 that's why the audio can't be played.
I need to fix the first problem (DTS 7.1 detection) to fix all others.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Thanks Cedric,
DTS HD comes in several channels, 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 so I hope I can remux any of those. I believe that DTS comes in standard DTS, DTS-ES, DTS-HD HR, and DTS-HD MA. Dolby has a version TrueHD for enhanced audio which I believe is available up to 7.1 channels.
It would be great to be able to use any of those audio streams.
Thanks for all the support,

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Downloaded and installed v.19b and did a refeence conversion with the same output results as v.18b...no primary DTS audio even though the log indicated a raw copy.
So, no audio remux yet.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Installed v21b and did a conversion with my custom 1080p remux profile using mkv files with DTS 5.1 audio. The conversion indicated by the log file that the audio was remuxed, but the output file had no sound. So remux of audio still not working.
I repeated the conversion using the standard 1080p Blu-ray profile and the audio was converted to ac3 5.1 and played fine.
Cuda support is working well with a high utilization of the hardware. Picture is attached showing utiliztion.
Thanks, please keep working on the audio support.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Hi Cedric,
I made a custom MKV remux profile without remuxing the video and remux of audio only. It fails with an error no matter whether I set the audio to dts or ac3. When I use the preconfigured MKV h264 profile it works. I don't understand why my custom MKV profile or 1080p custom profile (remux audio only) doesn't work? Would it be possible for you to make a MKV h264 profile with just audio remux and possibly a blu-ray 1080p profile with just audio remux since none of mine seem to work.
Thanks a bunch,
Tony

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Installed 1.3.0.1 and did a conversion with my reference mkv file with DTS HD MA 7.1. Log file indicated raw copy of both DTS and AC3 audio streams. The software is seeing the DTS HD MA 7.1 audio track as DTS core 5.1, so it is not being detected properly. I've verified the audio track with MediaInfo and tsMuxeR GUI. Output indicated that the DTS core was extracted at 5.1 and AC3 at 2.0 as original. Output played with no sound for DTS stream but AC3 played fine. Video looked great. So, no joy for audio remux of DTS.
Thanks, and please keep working on the full audio remux.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
Installed v1.3.0.3b and still doesn't recognize the full DTS HD MA 7.1 audio. It only sees the core DTS 5.1.
Hoping for continued improvements in audio remux, thanks.

Installed v1.4.0.4 and did a conversion of my control mkv file with dts HD MA 7.1 audio and the program only reports the core dts at 5.1. Still hoping for remux capability of audio. thanks

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
I reinstalled v1.4.0.8 and every time I try to do a conversion the program stops working. I even did a clean reinstall and am having the same problem. The program turns dull and I get a windows message that the program has stopped working and it will close the program. What to do?
Attached is the crash log.

Re: Feature Request: High Definition Audio for AC3 and DTS
You say this happens every time you use the program, but does that mean even if you try different files? or have you only been trying with this file?
