3 problems converting ABBA-Super Trouper Deluxe Edition DVD
3 major problems converting ABBA - Super Trouper Deluxe Edition DVD
Tested with 3.5.0.21 + 3.5.0.23 (Beta)!
I've just bought all Deluxe Editions from ABBA (8 DVDs!) and want to convert the DVD (music videos) as MP4, H264, AAC-44100-Stereo-384000.
Problem 1:
Crash during the start of the process: "An error occured while converting."
I have prepared my own profile
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" standalone="no"?>
<Configuration>
<VSO_custom_profile>
<Description/>
<DefaultFileExtension>mp4</DefaultFileExtension>
<ContextName>DVD Video MP4-H264-AAC-Stereo</ContextName>
<VideoProfile>
<Item0>codec=h264</Item0>
<Item1>qmax=31</Item1>

<Container>Sm_Mp4</Container>
</VSO_custom_profile>

but after pressing start the error occurs.

Re: 3 problems converting ABBA-Super Trouper Deluxe Edition
Problem 2:
My feature request about the default path in a profile is not fully done!
Only one folder can be specified for ALL music DVDs. Which means the next music DVD also converts the files into the same directory. Each DVD should be converted into a subfolder of the root path (defined in the profile) - the same logic as in the general settings!

Re: 3 problems converting ABBA-Super Trouper Deluxe Edition
Problem 3:
DVD title: 1 h 19 m = over 20 music videos in 26 chapters.
The killer feature request to store each chapter into a single files becomes more and more important. As DJ & collector I need the single files of course.
I tried the "Advanced Edit" to convert only one chapter but I would have to disable all other chapters to get one chapter. Finally when I want convert 20 videos (from these 26 chapters) I have to disable 25 chapters per video and confirm the deletion too: 20 x 25 x 2 = 1000 and more mouse clicks for one DVD! :-(
Selection markers instead of remove buttons would be easier to use - but of course single files is much more useful to convert all in one go.

Re: 3 problems converting ABBA-Super Trouper Deluxe Edition
Yes. I mean the drop down box "Output folder generation". Currently all files of a DVD will be stored into the root folder as defined in the profile. The next DVD also stores into the same location. So currently after converting I have to manually move the files into a sub folder. (e.g. my profiles are DVD children cartoon, DVD children film, DVD Music Videos, DVD Films, ... different hard discs, different root folders). You could also take the option from the general settings but (read below) if you add an option "Open Explorer" it should be a drop down box for each profile.Claire wrote:so you mean and also "add project name in path"?dosibo51 wrote:Problem 2:

I'm also missing the information of the path in the final "Step 5 SAVE":
Only
Code: Select all
---- Output container informations ----
* Name: Mpeg2-TS
* File extension: ts
I would also find it useful if the overview text is identical as in the settings of the profile. Instead of "Name: Mpeg2-TS" it should be "File format (container): Mpeg2-TS".
And finally I'm missing "Custom profile name" in the overview.
Another very useful option for the drop down box "Output folder generation" would be "Open Explorer". When the START button will be pressed, Explorer should open to choose the final path. Start path for the Explorer should be the path of the profile or general settings.
THANKS A LOT
