I'd like to know if the default setting on VSO downloader 4.2.6.2 captures and downloads perfectly original files from the server?

otherwise than filename (because it won't change the checksum of the file)
I'd like to know if it will add or change anything ? For example, the meta data / tags, and how can I disable that?

In theory the settings are optimized by default and the maximum amount of information is keep about the source file.
