I want to convert some 50p, 60p, 50i, 60i files to DVD and/or Bluray/AVCHD disc.
The resolution does not matter.
To preserve the video fluidity, I have some requests.
- for DVD conversion:
When the input framerate is 50p/50i, the output DVD will be 576i (50 fields/sec PAL).
When the input framerate is 60p/60i, the output DVD will be 480i (60 fields/sec NTSC).
- for Bluray/AVCHD conversion:
When the input is compliant interlaced content (1920x1080 50i/60i) please allow the remux option, and do not convert to 25p/30p automatically.
The 50p/60p remux is working fine to AVCHD disc.
Thank you!

Re: [Request] Please add support for interlaced modes
Hello djnice,
Converting 50i to 25p or 60i to 30p preserve video fluidity.
Regards,
We don't want to produce interlaced content.- for DVD conversion:
When the input framerate is 50p/50i, the output DVD will be 576i (50 fields/sec PAL).
When the input framerate is 60p/60i, the output DVD will be 480i (60 fields/sec NTSC).
Converting 50i to 25p or 60i to 30p preserve video fluidity.
I will check if I can add 50i/60i support for remux profiles.- for Bluray/AVCHD conversion:
When the input is compliant interlaced content (1920x1080 50i/60i) please allow the remux option, and do not convert to 25p/30p automatically.
Regards,
Re: [Request] Please add support for interlaced modes
Why? Please add an option if possible. We don't want to produce interlaced content.
This is an example:Converting 50i to 25p or 60i to 30p preserve video fluidity.
1920x1080 50p video converted to PAL DVD with your software: http://djnice.uw.hu/convertx.VOB
Same video converted to PAL DVD with TMPGEnc Authoring Works: http://djnice.uw.hu/tmpgenc.VOB
I think, the difference is clearly visible.
Thanks for your support!I will check if I can add 50i/60i support for remux profiles.
Regards,

Those examples show clearly the problem with interlaced - TMPGENC version is filled with jagged and sawtooth edges and motion looks blurry due those. This is an example:

ConvertX version is nice and smooth with no visible problems.
Interlace is usable in home use only when using old CRT television. Does anyone have those anymore?

Re: [Request] Please add support for interlaced modes
The problem is the motion fluidity. 25 frame/s is not good for home movies and furthermore the convertx adds ghosting effect too.
The TV's deinterlacer is very good quality for reconstruct 50 progressive frames.
I need an option, not a fixed function.
