v1.6.0.2: Softcoded subtitles got worse/no individual menus

Post by mue.mat »

Hello

I have just tried out new beta version 1.6.0.2:

- Softcoded subtitles still not resolved (even getting worse)

0009775: [Feature Request] Allow user to select a custom DVD/Blu-ray ROOT menu background image (cedric) - resolved

--> in BluRay menu templates there is no option to set my own picture als menu background ("BluRay/AVCHD menu template selection"). It seems that nothing has changed since v1.6.0.1
Or is there another way to set my own menu background?

Regards

You need to use right click on a titleset and click on "Select a background for ROOT menu"
Background for TITLE menu will come soon.

For your softcoded subtitles problem, I used your sample "bible" file and don't have any problem now!
What do you use to check the result?

PS: please create one post by problem, and don't talk about same problem in different posts

Thank you for your help!

Hello
You need to use right click on a titleset and click on "Select a background for ROOT menu"

I did now and chose my own jpg-file; but after conversion, for me there is no change. There's appearing the "old" menu template.
What I wish is, that INSTEAD of f.e. selection of BluRay menu template "Classical, simple but elegant" to chose my own BluRay image (wallpaper) for my movie as background (instead of a given BluRay menu template from settings).
For your softcoded subtitles problem, I used your sample "bible" file and don't have any problem now!

I actually don't know weather this subtitle problem only happens with me. But I did again and there is definitly missing text of softcoded subtitles. I'm using VLC media player. But even if I burn a BluRay disc there is missing a lot of subtitle text, the same as VLC player (hardcoded subtitles appear 100%). I tried out as well "GOM Player" and "KM Player". But with these 2 players the softcoded subtitles of the converted file are not to select at all (player says that there a no subtitles).
That means, only if I change the original srt-subtitle-file with "time correction", softcoded subtitles work fine (as you can see with my sample files).

But anyway, thanks for hard work.
