DVD+R or DVD-R?

for AVCHD which blank has the best compatibility with various players - DVD-R or DVD+R?, I know with regular DVDs the +R allowed bitsetting to DVD-ROM.

Still trying to get one to play correctly in my Sony DVD player.

Are you trying to play HD content in AVCHD format in regular DVD player?
99% of DVD players can not play that at all.
