Error Importing MP4 Files

Post by Slider »

Hey all,

Just discovered ConvertXtoHD - It's been awesome so far, exactly what I have been looking for and need for an upcoming video project.

I have 111 MP4 files that I want to import into ConvertXtoHD. 109 import just fine, however 2 are ignored by the program. All 111 MP4s were converted VHS tapes using Elgato Video Capture, and there should be no difference for the 2 MP4 files that don't seem to be imported correctly.

Both videos play fine on Windows Media Player & VLC Media Player.

Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks!

Any messages why they are ignored?

Best is to provide CXtoHD log showing accepted and ignored file.

Thanks JJ! I will send over a log tonight.

When I looked at the log over the weekend, it simply said "Ignored". Very strange!

Log should show more info about the file. If it does not, then you need to use some program to check what is inside mp4 container.

Thanks for your help here, JJ. Here is the log file, notice #33 and #34 don't seem to want to import.

Log shows only that ignored file is 30.00Fps and rest are 29.97Fps, that should not be a problem.
Can you check those files with some mp4 checker that will report exactly what is in that file?
If those are all from same source then I wonder why they have different Fps.
