Seems the issue with "no" audio sound upon completion has returned.

7.0033 event sounds

Post by wtin »

I changed my event sounds to a Facebook "pop" sound. It's just a tiny little WAV file.

The settings (all of them) revert to the default when a newer version is installed on top of it.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. There's no burning record in the atta&ched log, is the notification missing when the conversion ends?

Hi,

I can't reproduce, did you copy the sound file to the "Program data" folder?

Sound events 7.0033

Just tried it again. It's not overwritten by the newer install. The settings (most of them) don't stay.

Here is the video.

Yes, the tiny file was copied over to that folder. (It's a WAV file).

@Felicia
On previous post I did "not" burn the result. Does it "not" still tell you that the operation has completed? I just now did burn a project and "yes" I did get an operation completed audio, using the latest version 7.0.0.34

Thanks for replying

This is getting stranger by the minute, nothing has been changed for the audio notifications since 7.0.0.30
I'll try to reproduce and fix the issue. do you by any chance have a Realtek based audio chipset?

Thanks for the video, in most cases it helps a lot.

As a general rule avoid changing anything in the "Programs files" or "ProgramData" folders. As programs like ours rely on on what's in those folders to work properly, in fact "ProgramData" is a hidden folder by default.
If you keep your find file in any other folder you should not have the issue.

I know you're replying to Eddie, but I laughed out loud when I read this.

Mine is the mother board's cheapo sound board.

Yes, the program is buggy, and sometimes the old bugs do come back, but it produces the cleanest DVD of all programs I have tired - and your company is quick to look into them - so I am hanging on! Ha!

Just to tell you I had experienced this occasional occurrence of NO AUDIO "operation complete" at end of burn. I too was asked if I had Realtek audio - annswer was NO. I have not used CXD perhaps since .30 to know if this occasional issue still exists. Just had to chime in here. It has been a "real", but minor for me, observation, too!

@Felicia
O.K. - Your the smart person in the room. What's wrong with my "Realtek High Def audio", v6.0.0.7544? I just the did the windows creators update on April 30th, from an ISO, and windows automatically downloaded and installed this driver. Driver dated 06/24/2015.

Update - Went to Realtek site and updated to a newer driver v6.0.0.8036, dated 1/5/2017. Audio worked on a project that I did not burn. Will monitor.
thanks for the heads-up.

Single chapter menu

Post by wtin »

A quick reply (will create a video later when I go to work. I have my own desktop there.)

If you create a movie with one file (thus creating one title), under menu option to "do not create menu for single title" - the program still does.

I also found another menu bug. Not major. Will create a video to show you. It basically goes:

New project
Go to options. Choose menu. Choose "No menu"
Import a few files.
Name of first file is the project name.
Change it to something else.
Go to options. Choose menu. Choose "10 titles per page without sub menu"
Click to review of menu. Name of project is shown as the file name of the first title. (Project name still the same.)
To fix that, click on EDIT menu and change it in the editing screen.

1. The option states "Don't create title menu for single video" and it only affects the title menu, other menus ie root, chapter and settings will still be created. If you want no menu created for single file select no menu or a template with no submenus with this setting checked.

2. Will be fixed in v38
