Thank you Coral fr your help,
I'm investigating, and it's seems that in fact the problem is with audio sub-stream detection...
Can you do a test?
Restart the conversion, but disable the audio track (to have only 1 video stream and 2 subtitle streams on output) then play the result in VLC
I'm waiting for your feedback...
Regards,

Hello Cedric. I'm sorry but the problem is still there. The only way to get the correct number is to remove the audio stream.

Can you do a clean install (by removing installation files and registry entries) ?
I can't reproduce on my xp pc here where the bug was reproduced...
Thanks

I did a clean install and removed the registery entries I could find. I still get an extra subtitle stream.
This is what I have tried before I did a clean install:
(1) I have converted the (Original) mkv file. This converted with an extra stream.
(2) Converted the file produced by the converter.
Result: In this file (2) the number of subtitle streams are correct.
Does this make sense to you ?
Note:
The extra stream is produced when there is more than one stream.

lograe wrote:First of all, I would like to thank Cedric and his staff for fixing the bug in the custom profile editor (see Bug# 0007994). I could now select audio sample rate when using AC3 codec.
And for the first time, I see progress regarding the subtitles merge in video problem I've been having. Finally, the subtitles merged in my mp4 video; but the audio and video is out of sync. I tried the video converter and the blu-ray converter and got same results - i.e., the video is delayed.
There's one more thing I would like to add. It's more like a feature request. I hope there's an option to choose not to upper/lower case all letters of the (final) filename. I like to keep the filename of my original file with the first letter of the word in upper case just like the older version of your software. I wish I don't have to rename the file everytime I convert a video.
I just realized I'm having problem with my merged subtitles again. It's either the subtitles doesn't appear on the video, or it only appear on some part of the video, usually at the end part. And this all started after version 1.3.0.0 of your video converter. I'm using custom profile MP4. Please let me know what I need to upload so you could fix it. For now, I switched back to version 1.3.0.0 in converting my videos.

Hello lograe,
Yes, can you send your original file using our ftp transfer tool:

I'll check your problem when transfer will be done.

Hello Cedric,
Files with subtitles are not being converted when set for DVD subtitles output, MPEG2-PS (WinXP)
I still get an extra empty subtitle stream, on both my machines. However I just have to accept it since nothing can be done about it. (

I have uploaded a MKV file for your attention. Please test for DVD subtitles.

Hi Cedric,
I tried using the latest beta version 1.4.0.0 of Bluray converter. And I could say my problem is again resolved. I do see the merged subtitles in my videos. Thanks!

Hello Coral,
"I still get an extra empty subtitle stream

I know that this problem is remaining, but I don't have the time to resolve it now (it's a really rare case: only on your XP computer, I can't reproduce on our 3 XP computers here)
I will work on this issue when I will have more free time.
Regards,

Hi, I just installed new nVidia Drivers 340.43 and now the nVida Hardware Decoder in your program has been disabled. I tried manually enabling it in the nVidia Control Panel but it still doesn't work. I don't know if this has something to do with nVidia's new drivers or your program not complying with them. I just thought i'd let you know. nVidia's last drivers 337.88 work fine.

Hello cribber,
nVidia Drivers 340.43 is a beta release, so I will wait for the next stable version to see if hardware decoder works.
