2.0.0.7 and other version 2s are still in beta. Thanks for your feedback.
Please have a little patience. We have many projects going on at once. We are aware of your problem.

patience is maybe a day or two......this length of time is a joke.
2.0.0.7 is a beta and i assume the goal is to actually get it to work
Simply respond and acknowledge and possibly actually come on the forum and give status updates...............Im taking my time to test your program

Hi Pauldredge,

We appreciate your tests. I am sorry that we did not post a reply. We could have posted:

"Thanks for your tests, we will look into the problem you reported when we have time."

Your tests do help us, and we will look at all the problems reported when we do the next version of the DVD/Blu-ray Converters.

Can you post a screenshot of the profile you made?
Can you post a screenshot of the video result that you described?

FYI, I do not have the same movie, I tested your custom profile with a different film and my result was correct.

I do not have it
i have listed it though...............and EVERY DVD no matter what it is or region comes out corrupt.........as I have described...........
Still no fix.........getting on for two weeks.......I would of expected even more than one update in this time never mind none.........

If you use your own built in low profile xvid profile EVERY DVD comes out corrupt as like in the two enclosed screenshots.....(region 2 Gamer .....but every dvd anyway)..........check bottom of screen

Thanks for the screenshots

I understand your frustration, but we cannot do anything to speed things up.
I suggest just sticking to the public version on the VSO Website if you are too frustrated with the beta versions.

I cannot reproduce, so maybe I do not have enough details.

Are you converting DVD that are already on your harddrive?

Exactly what settings are you using?
If we can reproduce problems they are much easier to fix.

I am glad you sent your profile, because I was testing what you last wrote which was
xvid 640x480 avi ac3 192
The profile you sent does not use that info.

Despite loading your profile I still do not have the problem

I just tried with same custom profile as paulredge.
My system is Win7 64bit, and 2.0.0.7 converted PAL DVD from HD to mp4, no problems. It converted NTSC region 1 DVD (after being ripped to HD with DVDFab) without any problems. Both produced excellent videos that work and display correctly.

Paulredge: have you tried installing 2.0.0.7 to some other computer? As nobody can reproduce your problem it is more likely that there is something causing these problems in your computer.

1.4.0.8 works fine with the same custom profile so I know ITS THE PROGRAM...........

NOTHING WRONG WITH MY MACHINES

paulredge, I am not saying you are lying, I don't doubt you have a problem. I just need to have the problem too in order to correct it.

You say you cant replicate but its the same here on 4 machines also have just been to my brothers and exactly the same there

there is a problem with the program but ive had enough anyway so probably am not going to bother anymore...............its not worth the hassle

paulredge: what is common on your systems? Something that is not on my or VSOs?
You do have that problem, but if we can't find how to reproduce it, it might be impossible to fix.
If you get same problem with different computers then it has to be something common with those computers.
Any program that is installed in all of those, program that is not in every Windows as default?
Do they all have same Windows? Same chipsets? Some videocodec or player?
Something is causing this and it can be found, but it requires either you to pinpoint what it is, or let VSO access your computer with Teamviewer to test and maybe find the cause.

alright.

If the problem persists in the next version then if you are willing maybe we could connect to your computer with teamviewer to see what could be causing the problem.

Just noticed the new version so have given it a try
tried a mixture ntsc/pal and widescreen/fullscreen............about 10 in total and all worked perfectly
Whatever you changed it seems to have fixed the problems
thanks

This version was added a curious choice to the Custom Profile Editor. The option is "Get Profile for Sample File," which I guess is the possibility to create a profile from a movie set. I wonder what really makes this option and which formats can be imported?
