Sorry but this feature is too specific to special cases, I want to keep the visual interface simplest as possible.
I think adding this feature in custom profile editor was enough.
Major part of users will not use this...

How about including the Nokia Lumia 520 Smartphone in the output formats list ? If possible with different resolutions, please

Hello Coral,

Can you try with generic smartphone encoding profiles?
I don't want to add specific smatphone profiles to keep the visual interface as simple as possible.
But if the generic profile don't work, I will add it...

Never mind, Cedric, I can create a coustom profile and experment with it.
So far, using another converter, I am having problems when a movie of about 90 mins. gets near the middle. When it reaches that point it begins to jump frames and gets worse as the movie progresses twards the end. It appears to be a buffer problem or perhaps a memory leak :?
I will have to experiment with different compressions and resolutions and see what happens.

Dear VSO team,
I have just used this software.I feel that at the default, this software use only 1 core of CPU for converting. So conversion speed is so slow.So I have a question. That is how to choose the cores number of CPU? (My CPU has 2 cores)

Hello minhcute,

"how to choose the cores number of CPU?"
Go to "Settings", "conversion" and change "Number of core(s) used for encoding/decoding"
These settings are set to maximum (2 in your case) by default, so why do you think only one core is used?

Please can you post your log of last encoded file? (go to "Help/tools", "Show log events", "Open log folder" then post the file where your last encoding session is visible)

Regards,

Is that a bug ?

I have a question and some suggesions about this software :

****** Suggestions :

1.Bluray discs on the market often have one of these frame rate : 23,976 / 24 / 25 (PAL) /30 (NTSC) / 54.But I can't choose the frame rate for Bluray in this software. Can you add this function to it in the next version ?

2.Some Bluray discs have the aspect ratio 4:3.This aspect ratio accords with TV 4:3 (such as my TV).But this software has no choice to change aspect ratio to 4:3 or 16:9.The resolutions accords with aspect ratio 4:3 are 960x720 (may be) and 1440x1080 ( I am sure about this resolution). Can you add this function to the next version ?

3.By default settings, the core number is maximum. But when I change only language to Vietnamese, the core number is automatically changed to 1 !.What is this bug ?

****** Question :

I want to play on my computer the conversion result folder ( Bluray 720p with BDMV folder and CERTIFICATE folder) with it's Menu and can choose the subtile, chapter.Which file in these 2 folders must I open ?

These are BR resolutions. All combinations are not allowed, like 1080p and 720p are only 16:9
Interlaced (ones with "i") resolutions are IMO useless, as they have only half of data on each frame.

Code: Select all

Resolution Frame rate Aspect ratio
1920×1080 60i (59.94i) 16:9
1920×1080 50i 16:9
1920×1080 24p 16:9
1920×1080 23.976p 16:9
1440×1080 60i (59.94i) 4:3
1440×1080 50i 4:3
1440×1080 24p 4:3
1280×720 60p (59.94p) 16:9
1280×720 50p 16:9
1280×720 24p 16:9
720×480 60i (59.94i) 4:3 or 16:9
720×576 50i 4:3 or 16:9

I understand.Thank you very much.I think I should buy a TV LCD in the future.

Continue talk about my above conversion log. What matter with conversion speed ? Why is it very slow ? Does this software or my computer's hardware have problem ?

I think this software is having a small problem. That is I can't edit the Menu labels (main menu's label, chapter menu pages' label, buttons' label,...) as with ConvertXtoDVD.Could you please surmount this problem in the next version ?

Hi I try the version 1.1.0.29 and I have some problem.
- When I make a DVD with a .Mkv file, this version doesn't make chapters. When I make a Blu-ray it makes chapters.
-If I don't want burning immediately my project on a dvd or Blu-ray , I don't have this possibility in the parameter.

Thanks

I made manual chapter points and converted to PAL DVD and the chapters where there on my final result.
Help me understand what problem it is you faced so we can correct it?

I did enter a bug that original mkv source chapters are not imported, but that does not seem to be the bug you are reporting.

If you do not want to burn immediately a DVD or Blu-ray you can uncheck this option in the settings under DVD Video output and Blu-ray/AVCHD output
