Hi, Clair
after being yesterday today I have found a way to launch the program on Xp every time so far.
It does not make sense but the only way it will launch is the double click the desk top icon twice in other words to launch the program is to quadrupedal click the desktop icon (new Windows Xp short cut LOL)

And it still crashed when it tried to convert.(HD Ready (720p) H264)
I have tried with version 1.2.1.20 to convert a dvd to HD Ready (720p) H24 and I can see the conversion start in the preview window. When you say you see it crash, is it right away? I have not tried to do a complete conversion; I did include 2 audio files and 1 subtitle in my test.
What movie are you trying to convert, maybe you could post the log file.
I do not have the 1.2.1.20 version installed.
As to crashing in the version before it, it was at the start of the conversion.
I well install the 1.2.1.20 version and test it.
OK
I installed version 1.2.1.20.
And it still crashed.
The DVDs are in folder and ISO form on my computer.
I tried three different forder versions with one of the DVDs in both folder and ISO form.
All crashed with that setting (HD Ready (720p) H264).
I don't understand. What is the name of the DVD you are converting? Is it just one movie? Or have you tried with various movies?
Are you saying you have tried both converting from the iso format of this movie and the DVD as is?
To solve this problem we need your log file please or a way to reproduce the problem.
ok, thank you, but the problem is I haven't received them. You can post the log files here on the forum or send them to me by email claire(at)vsosoftware.fr; they should not be too heavy to send by email.
No.
None of them worked.
This is the first one I used (vsoDVDConverterUltimate 1.2.1.10b) and this is the last (vsoDVDConverterUltimate 1.2.1.20b).
Is there a codec that you might have that I don't?
I just have K-Lite Codec Pack and K-Lite Codec Pack x64 installed.
Usually you don't need codec packs at all.
They are used when playing back special formats and there are still numerous releases of codec packs that cause problems when installed.
I need another CleanVSO.
The one I have only shows Copytodvd, ConvertXtoDVD and pcouffin as selections.
It does not show DVD Converter Ultimate as an option.
Can you give me one that does show it?
OK
I used CleanVSO and then re-installed version 1.2.1.19 first.
Crashed on both versions of "HD Ready/Full HD (720p/1080p) H264".
Only MPEG4 and Cuda versions worked, all else crashed.
Same happened with version 1.2.1.21b.
Muxing profile (Beta) looked like it finished the conversion but would not
end the process, just stuck on 1 second till end. So I stopped it.
I checked finished MKV and it looked OK.
I do have "NVIDIA GF GTX260 with CUDA video card" in my computer, if that has any bearing as to why
only that profile works.
