Audio Issue during BD playback

Greetings,

I'm running VSO Media Player with Anydvd HD on Vista. No problems with the video, other regions/Pal, etc- except that every five seconds or so during playback, the audio starts to distort/crack. If I pause, it seems to work again for a few seconds but then cause problems again. Any simple solution?

Much appreciated,

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

We are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.

If I may ask you some questions:

Does it happen with all BDs or only some of then?
Does it affect all audio streams or only the ones that demand a heavy load on the computer, ie AC-3 vs. DTS HD Master?
Have you tryed with local backups?

Best regards,

FeliciĆ .

I've tried it with Blus from about five different companies and they all had issues. It only occurs during HD playback, not SD (such as SD content on a blu disc). It's thus happened with the following audio encodes:

DTS HD Master Audio Mono 2.0
LPCM Mono
Dolby Digital Mono

Haven't tried local backups.

I also came across an interesting problem where the Media Player skipped any HD content and play the first SD content it could find in the playlist. I solved this issue with some configuring of VSO and Anydvd- but it was still a strange issue.

Hi,

Thanx again.

Did you have any problems with AC-3 streams (like commentary audio) ?

What settings did you change in VMP for it to work?

Best regards,

FeliciĆ .

The issue is not only audio but playback in total. The program acts just as a download bandwidth problem. It stops playing both video and audio for a fraction of a second. The drive makes a tremendous amount of noise (whirring and searching). There are no other dvd programs running.
Anyone have an idea?

Felicia,
The computer doesn't seem to have any other playback problems.
I do not know what VMP is. I just purchased the program.

@ nbrtmpr You have posted in the forum for the software VMP (VSO Media Player).

What software did you buy? You should either contact the VSO support directly or post your problem in the forum that corresponds with the product you bought from VSO.
