I have installed both blu ray to mkv as well as blu ray ultimate converter (1.2.0.14) but both of them won't start... The process is runing as I can see in the task manager but no active window is present..
I even downloaded a new 1.2.1.1 dvd coverter but neither this started....
I used vso to clean previous installation but this didn't help..
Any Ideas...?

For the moment I have no idea why. Have you rebooted since, maybe that could help get things straight.

Please, can you try by disabling your antivirus software before launching Blu-ray Converter?
