Toshiba Satellite C655D
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1 (updates to todays date)
vso media player version 1.0.1.427
directx version 11 (with updates)
** all drivers up to date as far as Toshiba site and AMD are concerned.
.................
Opening certain files gives me this message;

DIRECT 3D PROBLEM DETECTED
Direct 3D is not enabled on your computer.
Please check that you have directx 9 or later installed.
Please check that your Graphic card's drivers are up to date.
..................
After getting this message, I checked "dxdiag", and it reads Directx 11 with no problems detected.
I even installed the DirectX 9c redistrub (last version created).
Again, I get the same message, it I try to use directx instead of using GDI

Seems like all the movie files.
Well, at least 4 of them.
Get message with .. " .avi , .mpg , .wmv , .3gp "
Haven't tested any others.
Again, if I use GDI instead of Direct 3D, I do not get a message.

Confirm the bug, on XP it starts playing but no picture in DX mode.
In 7 I get that error, so there is something wrong with DX detection.

Hi,

Thx for all the info, I'll look into it as soon as ConvertX is out.

Best regards,
