Long Blu Ray Movies

I'm having trouble converting a long blu ray to dvd format even though i set the file size to even 50 gig. I never burn them back to dvd so file size isnt important.
I have tried the latest beta 2.1.1.36 and i still end up with .vob files that add up to 9gig but stops there. Tried it on several long blu rays such as Lord of the Rings and Casino... get the same result.
Help!
