Audio supported and size issues?

Post by carnage6 »

I just noticed you released this video converter and you say that it can convert movies to Blu-Ray but I can't find some information.

If I download a MKV or AVCHD file in 1080p will this software give me a perfect copy without any quality loss to Blu Ray disc?

Does this have a quality indicator showing if a file or files are too big to fit on the disc or if it will lose quality?

If I have a video that has a lossless audio will the finished Blu Ray also contain this audio without loss of quality?

Can you do TV shows with a menu to select an episode?

Nobody knows? I have to know this before I decide if I go with this software or another campany's software. Does this do 100% Blu-Ray movies with lossless sound??? MKV or AVCHD???

Basically yes to one movie. Of course quality depends on original file quality.
Multiple episodes - current menu system is not as good as CxD.

Well say I download a full 1080p movie with lossless DTS HD or True HD Dolby sound. Does the completed movie done through Video Converter retain the exact same things with no loss? If I play it through my Home Theater will I still get all that?

Yes, if you select to only remux then you get exactly what was in the file.
But converting to BR needs a little bit more, still you get to keep anything that is allowed in BR format.

I hope that a future version of video converter supports high definition audio in both ac3 and dts. DVD already supports this with the automatic conversion by copying the audio track raw.
