BluRay-Structure for Burning BluRay-Disc NOT VALID?!

I just bought the lifetime key for ConvertXtoHD because quality of the program seems to be good.

Now I wanted to convert a MKV-File to BluRay-Format.
Usually he BluRay files are made of two main directories: BDMV and Certificate.

But after the conversion I have only ONE directory: BDMV (and there are also only three subdirectories: Backup, Clipinf and Stream; other converters make up to 8 subdirectories).
And the new window that indicates that conversion has finished (100%) is "freezing" so I have to "kill" ConvertXtoHD.

Finally I burn the "BDMV"-Directory with ImgBurn that works fine.
But after burning nor VLC-Player is able to read the rewritable BluRay-Disc, nor my BluRay-Player can do this.

Did I forget something? Is there a bug in the program or do I anything wrong?

Many thanks for your help

Matthias

PS
Besides, even when I change in "Default Settings" --> "Burning" to "Burn result to Disc", there is happening nothing after conversion has finished (no burning at all!).
That's why I had to use "ImgBurn" to write the BluRay-Disk.

Sorry to hear about these problems. Sounds to me that the conversion is not completing as it should have many more subfolders under the BDMV folder asyou point out.

Maybe the problem in ConvertXtoHD is the menu creation, the last step where perhaps it is building the title menu? This is just a guess. You can try your conversion again but this time select the menu template "no menu" does the process finish correctly and the burning window present itself automatically when the conversion is finished? (Don't burn this if you do want a menu - this is just a test)
Do you see now all the subfolders?

Please post or attach your log file(s). This way we can get more info about where the problem could be.

Thanks, Claire, for quick answer.

I have just tried out your suggestion and converted this time a shorter movie (mp4) without any menu.
But again the same problem; ConvertXtoHD doesn't build correctly the BluRay-structure (only "BDMV"-folder with three subdirectories).

Indeed it seems that conversion doesn't come to and end to build the adequate BluRay-structure even conversion indicates 100%.

To see more, I have attached the log-file.

I'm looking forward to having a helping hand.

Thanks
Matthias

the problem is probably in these settings
13:08:51.903 Info [x] Use 2 pass encoding
13:08:51.902 Info [x] Use best video quality settings
13:08:51.901 Info [x] Use hardware encoding (if possible)
13:08:51.901 Info [x] Use hardware decoding (if possible)

try without them

Try without 2-pass and conversion will be finished. But menu doesn't want to create. Only one title is playing.

I tried out every possible combination:

"the problem is probably in these settings
13:08:51.903 Info [x] Use 2 pass encoding
13:08:51.902 Info [x] Use best video quality settings
13:08:51.901 Info [x] Use hardware encoding (if possible)
13:08:51.901 Info [x] Use hardware decoding (if possible)"

Results:

1. (Only) "2-pass-encoding" OR "H264 hardware encoding" are indeed causing problems and avoid at the end of converting process a propre BluRay-structure.
Interesting is, that only ONE OF THE TWO has to be disabled, either "2-pass-encoding" OR "H264 hardware encoding". If so, BluRay-structure is build properly. As well menu is proper.
2. The rest of the default settings doesn't create problems.

My question is:

Is it a bug of ConvertXtoHD or is it my configuration that causing this problem?

Thanks for your help and answer

Matthias

Hello mue.mat,

Only those settings may cause the issue. It's an internal bug they plan to fix, but want to know what exactly is the problem.

If you'd like (and have some spare time), you can help by running tests. Start with the default settings, convert, then change 1 setting per conversion (keeping the last setting changed that works), repeat.

Thanks for reading,
Neil M

I am thinking the version solves this problem, have you tried? Is the problem fixed?
