Beta version 4.2.0.0 - YouTube solution - work in progress

Hello,

Here is a new beta version 4.2.0.0

It will download some YouTube videos but not all. We are still working on this version, but we thought we would go ahead and make available what we already have.

To download from YouTube, got to Detection / Download URL. Copy and paste the YouTube url. What is in the clipboard is automatically pasted, so really you won't have to use the "paste" function.

Videos will be download in the highest resolution with this method.
(only in some cases a higher resolution cannot be downloaded but in future versions this will be corrected)
Only YouTube videos will be downloaded with the dialogue window accessed via Detection / Download URL.
All the other videos need to be detected by playing the streaming content in the usual way.

V 4.2.0.9 will not detect for few weeks now. Loading URL tries to download but fails every time.

Are we still working on a solution?

I'm have no problems downloading You Tube videos using the download URL feature. Perhaps if you supply a Log file the team could find an answer for you.

Don't work with youtube actually...I copy url...message verify in download screen...
In log : Header check in error !!!

Google now allows to sign in to gmail but sign out in youtube separately. You would think this would fix the problem but I still can't get the downloader to automatically download youtube vids with http. Typing in the url works sometimes.

Edit: Well I thought you could sign into gmail and not youtube but now I can't. At one time I did but now I can't. Crap. Well anyway here is a link in http that doesn't work even with typing it in.

This should be supported in the future.
Until then, try to find a different version/source of your video or on another website.
