Converting 6 channel audio to 2 channel sounds nasty + other

Hi, as the topic says, converting 6 channel audio to 2 channel stereo sounds nasty (tinny).

Also when converting with software encoding (using the custom profile) and choosing reference frames between 1 and 4, when I right-click on the encoded file and choose MediaInfo it always says 4 reference frames. (And converts a lot slower than Handbrake).

Edit: Sorry I see there is another thread about reference frames but it hasn't been Solved yet.

Bump

Converting 6 channel audio to 2 channel stereo sounds tinny/echoey. It sounds like it hasn't mixed all the audio channels.

ref. frames issue when using H264 software encoder should be fixed in last beta version...

Will check your audio issue (should be a channel layout problem).

Regards,

I can confirm the problem above. I'd the same issue here (I think): http://forums.vso-software.fr/dts-hd-ma ... 18448.html

DTS 7.1 has been converted into AC3 stereo (by accident - should be fixed now that AC3 6 channels should be used by default) and the sound was horrible. It sounded really "tinny".
